the timing of the attacks is suspicious. in april 2017 just as (i thinkâŚ) trump announced they wouldnât seek regime change and on the eve of peace talks to secure assads presidency he decides to use chemical weapons (he didnât have) against a militarily insignificant target? then exactly a year later in april 2018 after they again declared victory and just as trump announces they want to pull out of syria he decides to use chemical weapons against another militarily insignificant target? it just doesnât make much sense tbqh

October 27, 2013: Syria submitted the details of its plans for âtotal and verified destructionâ of its chemical weapons stockpile and production facilities to the OPCW. This declaration follows an initial declaration submitted on Sept. 20.
October 31, 2013: The OPCW confirmed that Syria destroyed, or rendered inoperable, all of its declared facilities for mixing and producing chemical weapons. The OPCW was able to inspect 21 of the 23 sites where these facilities were housed. The remaining two sites could not be visited due to security concerns, but inspectors said that the equipment was moved out of these sites and destroyed.
July 21, 2014: The OPCW announced that all of the chemical weapons have reached the various facilities in Finland, the United States, the United Kingdom, or the Cape Ray for destruction. At the time of the announcement nearly 32 percent of the total stockpiles had been destroyed.

we need automatic braking to be made standard in cars. We already have the technology but only expensive cars get it, itâs criminal. it would stop most DUI deaths as well as this bullshit. It shows that the govt. doesnât really care about safety.
Theyâre excited about taking away our freedom with driverless cars which may never work and leave automatic braking sitting on the shelf. Same thing they did with seatbelts and headrests during the road bloodbaths of the 40âs and 50âs.

EU is trying to force Apple to pay 16 billion in back taxes for its operation in Ireland, who says they donât owe any additional taxes. They are appealing the ruling and will likely win. People who make 5 figure incomes pay significant tax rates(25-50%) and hundred billion dollar apple pays a rate of 0.005%

Liberal party members (incl justin trudeau) are pushing for the decriminalization of possession and consumption of all illicit drugs in Canada! Which is an excellent idea IMO. the root causes of drug use need to be addressed (poverty, mental health, depression, physical and psychological trauma etc) rather than wasting money criminalizing the already marginalized.
Cigarettes kill 10x more people than opiates in North America. Last year 42,000 died in US from opiates vs 480,000 from cigarettes. Canada was 4,000 from opiates and 47,000 from cigarettes. Cigarettes are the number 1 cause of preventable loss of life in the US, number 2 is diet/phsyical inactivity, and number 3 is alcohol (88,000 per year).
