Current state of shipping (post your results)

Maybe if we post current results we can better decide when to send our stuff. This could really help in regards to snips and clones. I know if I had seen a post like I’ll leave below, I’d probably wait a bit and see what kind of shipping times others are getting.

USPS/ MO… To VA. 2 day priority parcel, mailed last mo (12/2), left Mo. Yesterday. 7 days so far

Maybe there is some sort of app for this? Lol.

I’m in the midwest and have been averaging 3-5 days for 2-day priority mail packages through the USA.

I normally ship freshly rooted plugs of clones, in root riots or hormex plugs, shipped in single-site or 3-site clone shippers

Everything has made it without issue.

I find unrooted snips need the quickest shipping possible. Like, good luck trying to root snips of TK after they spent a couple days in the mail. I’ve had well over 10 shipments of snips never root after spending 3-5 days in the mail regardless of temp or season.

On average from West Coast California to Washington 4 days but to the East Coast 2 days. Small flat rate boxes with lighted shippers. Clones were lightly rooted. Everything arrived in good shape even with cold weather and lack of insulation that I should use for colder weather. Definitely recommend using insulation for colder weather. Cheers !!!

Last week I was sent a rooted clone by another OG member. Sent from the south up to me in the Midwest.

Shipped out on Mon 12/3, expected delivery Fri 12/6. Delayed a day and delivered Sat 12/7 (Glad it wasn’t delayed two days, because Sun would have made it three days delayed instead!)

The biggest frustration with this delivery is that it was shipped from the south to a Midwest regional distribution hub, and then they shipped it back to the South again, then to D.C. before sending it back to my region. So there’s the delay :expressionless:

Edit: Arrived safely and in healthy condition :+1:

Great to get the responses. Can already tell it’s worth a resend if needed.
Was concerned I was seeing holiday backup but maybe not yet

Last week, a three-day priority box took 3 days to travel from Maine to Cali, and, a letter with pucks took 8 days to travel from Oklahoma to Cali…

I have had snips take 8 days to arrive, which rooted 6 days later… I didnt re-cut them, just popped them direcly into rockwool cubes when they arrived at my door.

Another batch of snips took 7 days to arrive and they all rooted within 9 days.

I had a rooted clone shipped from the SE coast to the PNW coast. Shipped on Friday and arrived Monday in superb condition.

That’s probably part of it. There have also been big changes made by the postmaster general

This short video explains why mail service is slower in most areas, even outside of the holiday season

I have definitely seen the impact from this just by watching the tracking updates and seeing how it’s changed patterns throughout the year.
