Dank Den Diary's

Yes, I did, not a problem
He tried everything he could to get me out, but, his “shadey” (no pun intended) actions, sunk him in the end. I also have no clue how he could say he would be able to deal with this shop, no problem, even with a full time job haha…I know how much work it took me, and I know he is not capable…I am sure I will still have to deal with his shit in the future, but this is par for the course, when dealing with Snake Fks’s…

I’ll get on those pics tonight, after I finish the last line of Bluetooth…So close to finished haha…

Lol just catching up on your thread and this tickled me. Without being too specific one of my family members taught me the ropes in the beginning and I argue with said person every single time we talk about growing. He doesn’t PH, he doesn’t use a hygro or thermometer he goes on feel… and trimming Jesus Christ we’re both on different scales of growing but we debate this one over and over and over. I prefer wet he prefers dry but every god damn time we get into conversation over it we argue.

However we’ve never been partners BUT the partners I’ve had have all had great ideas with 0 practical experience and I have now grown to love the saying “if you want a job done right, do it yourself” it’s pretty much become my slogan man. Can’t wait to see these pictures myself either :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hey Buddy…Sorry it took me a bit to reply here. Also, hey @Shadey, @Tinytuttle .

It has been bloody insane trying to get this next one running…Not enough time for one person.

As far as the whole partners thing for me…I should have known better with this one…But, the upside is, I spotted his shit from a mile away…I have learned a tonne, in the last 25 years, about partners, and growing haha…I am a fkn Gypo, when it comes to reading the future now haha.

Sadly…Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was not able to snap any pics of the finished product…But, I do happen to have some personal I can take a pic or two of. It was not in the cards at the time, as I had to do all the processing myself, and a small crew. I was running on autopilot and energy drinks, for a couple of weeks…

Since my last update, shit went sideways haha . My OLD partner, was trying to cut me out, and shit went down. Since then he has cost me thousands, any way he can. On top of all this, he stole all of my genetics (mothers), and killed them all off, all 30 of them (thankfully, I managed to revert four of them  ). He also killed off 500 clones, instead of letting me put them in the shop. So $3,500 bucks later, I have new cuts going. Then he never paid the electrical bill, after I gave him ten grand to do so, resulting in a $1500 security deposit…Haha. I am still happy about it all though, as he is now in the past…Just have one small buyout payment, against his will. Better things moving forward. So now after paying all the rent, buying cuts, paying 10 g’s in hydro, I am ready to flip tomorrow

So, while all this was happening, I also managed to put up a new wall, for half the shop, and do some more work to my No-Till bed, mix dirt, and transplant a small army of girls…I have also been setting up the other side of the shop, now I just need some funds for the new CMH’s I will be buying…

New Room :

The new wall, will help me big time, the last pull was just shit for environment. I am still fighting fkn Thrips, from him bringing them in for the first run, the fkr’s got in my cover crop…So basically, my bed went from this :

To This :

The new wall :

Here’s some pics of the new run…

The flavors will be the following :

-GG#4
-Sour Amnesia
-Cheese Quake
-Iced Grapefruit

In the Not-Till bed :

-Sour Diesel
-Black Dolato (super excited for this one) : https://jordanoftheislands.ca/product/black-do-lato-dosidos-x-gelato-x-blackberry-kush/

First 15 bales mixed up, with amendments.

The next round, transplanted to small cups.

Roots, after one week

Second 15 bale mix and transplant :

Reverted Mommas :

New No-Till ladies (note the cover crop) :

And finished room… snap

On a parting note… I managed to snap a good shot of the Bull Elk, that constantly freaks the shit out of me at 4 am, coming out from the shop.

I will do another update, when I transplant the No-Till bed…Probably in a couple of days?

Take it easy guys…Thanks for checking into my thread you guys, sorry for being a wee bit neglectful.

Regards,

K.

Wow nice set up ,mind if I pick you brain a bit ? Your running gavida 1000’s ? Mini split ac is that a quest dehum? Split your room like you did how are you splitting the ac and de hum or are you running 2 of each?

Sorry for all the questions as I’d like to do the same split my room.

Hey Man,

They are all DE 1000’s HPS, but not Gavita…I am in the middle of pricing out Philips bulbs for them right now…

I am also going to be adding another 48 CMH’s in my other room, mixed with half of the HPS’ I have running right now.

No mini split, three 5-tonne A/C’s, with a heater kit for one of the blowers in the winter. I also have another 5-tonne heat pump, not in use right now. I don’t have any industrial dehum right now, only three separate large home ones. I may be purchasing a Quest dehum in the very near future…

As far as the other room goes…I am planning on trying to run it on a flip, at night during this winter…I am hoping the temp should be cool enough, I can run two 12" exhaust fans, and use negative draw to cool my room. Also, the CMH’s are 630Watts a piece, so they should run a bit cooler. Fingers crossed this works, and I can save enough for the new Geo system, or A/C units. Get it installed by late next spring. Unfortunately, I don’t have any finances to be buying a large dehum, or the new lite’s, right now.

I am actually debating on selling the three brand new A/C units I just bought, and outfitting the shop with Geo Thermal instead… From the quotes I have got, it is cheaper to do the whole shop Geo Thermal, than one side cooling and heating, for me to double what I have now…Not to mention the hydro costs dropping, due to the A/C and heater not running. The 48 CMH’s will also help with cost savings…

Geo Thermal, is also looking attractive to me due to the high humidity I always see (a real pain in the ass). A Geo Thermal system keeps humidity levels in the comfortable zone between 30-50%…A hell of a lot cheaper, and easier way to deal with WP, and high humidity…

I hope this helped out in some way…

Thanks for dropping in as well Dude.

Looking good man glad your business dealing with your old partner are a thing of the past time to move on with good things to come … what’s the action plan for the thrips then? Maybe a batch of JWA? ( Jadam wetting agent ) Insecticidal soap to do them in on the cheap! How was the sampling of the product this round you get a taste of it?

Glad to see you back.
Sorry to hear your partner was such a POS.
Lucky he didn’t do all that to me or he would be in the compost pile

Man that guy is a pos, no need for apologies, when you are working that hard and trying to salvage and improve everything, I feel bad for asking for updates and pics  I t all looks like it’s coming together nicely though and hopefully be next summer you will be all set and running full steam ahead.

We have an old heat pump here which doesn’t work much past minus 12 before going onto auxiliary heat. Looking to find something that will work to minus 20 -25 . Geothermal is definitely the best option a little more expensive because of the drilling involved, but you don’t have to worry about ambient air temperature dropping to low to work properly if that happens in BC

600w is the most efficient HPS light you can use more lumins per watt than any other. I am surprised you’re not going with LEDs, I know it’s a lot of work but if you build your own using the sol strips, with the way you keep your canopies so level, it would save you even more money, you could build a 600-700w equivalent for less than $250 use 50-60% less power on the lights as well as your cooling. You may have to add heat come winter, but with cheap geothermal heating that would still be advantageous.

I would not want to meet Mr elk late at night, those antlers could do some damage, as well as knowing you could bump into Mr Squatch at that time of night, surprised sassy hasn’t picked him up and carried him away, do you have any lights on outside.

Glad to see you are persevering despite your setbacks!

Sounds like you got it figured, I’ve been lucky last winter I was able to get away with no added heat source other than the 10 lights running at a 1000 watts for 12 hrs temps would only drop a few degree on lights out we had lots of -40 weather .

Humidity was a bit tough to control till I bought a decent dehum , I plan on running my lights at 600 watts this year so heat might not be enough to make it 12 hrs without adding a heater .ill know more once it gets cold.

The mini split is able to control 2 zones so that’s not a problem also thinking I’ll circulate the warm air over to the other side alternating lights on or off .

I can get away with just a few more lights another controller a second C02 burner and a couple 12 inch extraction fans ,still figuring how to avoid building a second humidifier and also keeping the C02 where it’s needed if I extract to the other half the room C02 will also be leaving (scratching head) might be a problem .

If I decide not to move the warm air between rooms then that isn’t a issue should be able to plumb the humidifier to control each room separate.

Hey there Tiny…I have cut my cover crop down to the ground, and sprayed with a really good NATURAL product called Jake’s Spray : https://www.jakesallinoneproducts.com/ It is awesome stuff…It is also the best WP killer I have ever used. All while being completely natural. It is made just down the road from me to boot. Then I put down some more predatory mites, to kill whatever got cut down, with Thrips in it. I also have some more predators, that I put on the actual plants themselves, it will be administered today I think.

Oh it was all top shelf…Nothing but compliments. I did manage to keep some personal, and will try and take a photo of the nugs very soon…The No-Till bed tasted very good, and was flushed properly. I have noticed my top layer of soil has finally cooled off a bit…So the new girls I have vegging in cups right now, should be a lot happier than the first round.

Thanks RoC, I feel you here…And normally, bad shit would have went down here…But in the end, after contemplating everything, revenge is a dish best served cold. I am just glad the Goof is gone for now. I had a sit down with him, and the land owner. It got very heated, and almost came to blows on my end. But, if there is some shit I have actually learned in my life, is there is a time to fight, and a time to play chess…This was one of those Chess matches…In the end, he fucked himself on a very good business deal…
I am starting a Craft show here very soon, and will be paying the tax man, but will make a good living in return…He will still be working his 9-5, miserable, blaming me for everything. It is definitely not finished between the two of us haha.

Thanks Reiko…If there is one thing about me I can honestly say…It’s that I have waaaaayyy too much fight in me. It has made my life complete hell some days, but also got me through a lot of shitty deals…This is one of those deals. I try not to let emotion, get in the way of my girls…They don’t care what I am going through, or wait for me to figure it out haha…Thanks again for your feeding scheduled…I will be implementing it on this next run.

Hey my friend hope all is well. Curious what you yielded of the last grow all together? Now worries if you don’t want to say :kissing_heart:

Things are looking banging again for this round. Which of your’s are you looking forward to the most?

Don’t worry about that Pal…it’s not like you knew about any of this haha…You were just looking for a little Bud Porn…Nothing wrong with that haha.

Yes, it is coming along good…I should have everything in the shop dialed in, and running like a dream by then…That’s when I should have the Outdoor Craft license almost figured out…Then I will be hiring a couple of people to help out. The full shop and an outdoor plot, is going to be crazy work hours…I plan on using No-Till, and Hugelkultur. It is going to be clean and efficient, with low overhead.

I heard rumblings of the efficiency of the 600’s, but after seeing the CMH’s in action at a friends, it’s hard to ignore what those lite’s bring. I have the local shop willing to give me a pretty good deal on them. roughly 25 g’s to do my shop.

That is crazy savings…But I have never grown with LED’s and been scared to commit with them, due to others I have seen using them, not get great weight production. I KNOW that is changing, and there will be a time soon, where the cost, quality, and production will tempt me too much, and I will make the switch.

I am not so much worried about getting shanked by the Elk, as much as a fkn heart attack…When you come out of the shop blinded by the lite’s, and go into the abyss in the middle of the bush, it freaks you out a bit hearing something huge running down the path haha. As far as Sassy around here goes…I know they are probably looming around here. There is usually plenty of food around here for them. But, still not as active as my old place by the river/hatchery. It is kind of eerie at night here sometimes…I can hear what others may think is a huge fkn Owl…calling back and forth with another just across the field. They sound waaay to big to be a bird though…Haha.

This is what I am hoping is going to work for me…I just hope my air movement, and high ceilings can handle the 48 lite’s I plan on putting in there haha.

This is the next big purchase I need to make, then a gen-set. Right now I have three large dehum’s that barley cut it, but the RH is holding…So for now, this is what I have to work with.

I found using the ploy for the wall, with no insulation between the two rooms, allows for the heat to transfer to the new room fine. It has been room temp since the wall went up, and I have never had a heater in that side yet. I know heat can/will effectively transfer through plastic.

I have never run co2…But am interested in doing so…I think for now, it would be more of a hassel for me, until I have both rooms set up the way they need to be.

Living where I do…I have had the luxury, of not having to worry about not having enough humidity…But, the trade off, is not worth it to me haha. White Powder, and high RH is a real pain in the ass.

Hey Buddy, thanks for stopping in…

The last/first pull in the shop, was 1 per 1000w on the floor, and 1 1/4 for the No-Till…

The floor had a lot of issues…The main problem, being no wall up, so I was dealing with the entire shops environment, not just one sealed room. As nice as it was health wise, the fact I had freshly rooted cuts, go into 1 and 2 gallon pots and kicked with zero veg time, did not help my cause. I only had half of them in 3’s and 5’s…
Also, I found out my partner came in and used Potassium Silicate, without PH’ing the water…effectively fking my soils PH…I never could figure out why they had a growing stunt I don’t usually see. Also, due to very high humidity, I had a calcium deficiency pop up…I treated it by putting a half of a tsp of Lyme on each plant effected. He came in and freaked then flushed the entire room. Telling me I fkd the entire show by doing it…This coming from a guy who admitted he knows nothing about growing organically. That ate up at least a week of valuable flower time. I also had different strains I would not normally have run, as they were not big producers…But, it could have also been crappy pheno’s of some of my new strains. He would not spend ANY time, trying to find the keeper Pheno’s and just gave me whatever for my cuts.

But after my very long winded “excuses” haha…I am still proud of what I was able to accomplish in there…That No-Till bed rocked it’s first pull…And if I can crack 1.5 per, I will be going No-Till for an entire side of my shop, if not both sides…

The four I am most looking forward to, are the Black Dolato, Iced Grapefruit, GG#4, and the Sour Amnesia. These are not what I would normally have on hand, but I had to track down 500 to buy haha. But in the very near future, I have some other killer genetics on the go…The Black Dolato being one of them…Then a Gelato33 x Birthday Cake. And a shitload of others I will have to go through…Even though the POS killed off the mothers and clones he had at his house, I still have a whack load more at a buddy’s I have access to…ALL of them killer strains. So the next couple of pulls should be very interesting, and full of different flavors. That Huckleberry is one I am also very excited for, I bet it will do well in my No-Till bed…You sure killed it with that run Pal…Congrats on a job well done

Will do Pal…

I will probably be asking a question or two along the way here…This is only my second pull in the shop, so I still have some hiccups to deal with…My rooms are both roughly 50x25 with 16 ft ceilings.

The workload is insane compared to my little 6 lite bedroom I had going haha.
