Hello my OverGrow family! It is with clean bongwater and a freshly packed bowl I come to you with this humbling task I’m about to undergo. Let me preface this with saying this strain is more than a combination of two amazing parents. I read somewhere Bodhi made this strain in memory of his Grandfather, which is truly spectacular as I myself have a connection with this strain and MY Grandfather. Step back in time with me for just a moment…
The year is vaguely 2012. I remember vividly awaiting the postman as my order from The Road was out for delivery. Anyone remember what it was like trying to find herb back in the late 2000s? Myself personally only just discovering premium herb, it was rare to say the least and prices were through the roof. 20 a g IF you could find anybody who didn’t have brick. I found an ounce for 130 and was ecstatic.

Thanks you too! I said… I remember thinking “you have no idea XD” as I eagerly ran inside to tear her open.
After dismembering enough vac bags to store a seasons worth of veggies from the garden, I’m met with a Ziplock bag with a sticker on the front. " Dank Sinatra" with the leafly info about it as well. Fluffy lime green nugs that is punching me in the face before i even open the bag.
Some of the most amazing herb i had found up until that point. My Grandfather saw the name and wanted to smell it… He never smoked in his entire life. He was 65ish at the time and used to run moonshine as a young one but never fooled with anything else. LOL he always used to say “That stuff will make you crazy” I always used to laugh and take a hit and say not me.
He loved the smell. So much that he wanted to try it with me after asking me what it did. I told him the truth I use it to feel better and he wanted to see for himself what all the hype was about. I did tell him however I wouldn’t tell a soul so this is between us ok?( Love you PawPaw) but i feel the story is important.
He was smiling from ear to ear at the end of that little mushroom keychain bowl. I could see all his worries melt away as he sat back and we laughed and listened to music and enjoyed each others company. He had a lot of health problems going on as well as being the provider so having the weight of that on his shoulders, he was kind and loving and caring but i could tell he was stressed. Not in that moment. Not a care in the world except hanging out with his grandson. What a great time we had.
For the past almost decade now I reminisce on that day as it is the only time I got to smoke with him. I’ve been looking high and low to try to find that strain for 8+ years now and as the universe works in mysterious ways i have just had a pack land in my lap after believing that searching for this strain was a lost cause. Most people i had asked never even heard of it. Until i met @Kushman71
He was so Kind as to let me buy his personal pack in his collection for preservation purposes. One catch i have to get him back F3 which is no problem at all! I can’t wait to give back to him as this is truly THE strain I’ve been hunting for almost a decade now.
Stay tuned these things will pop themselves they’ve been inching towards the sink every day now. They’re literally burning a hole in my seed stash.
