Dankmaster’s Old School Pine Genetics workshop/log

oh interesting. are there reg seeds of her? maybe there are different phenos. the dispensary bud i purchased (upnorth brand) had way more of a gassy candy profile then pine. i was getting faint fruit or citrus notes even. i enjoyed the terps for sure but the effects were kinda meh.

To me it looks mostly capped off, so I’m pretty sure you’re within the harvest window. You did AMAZING brother, to go as long outside the normal season and take them close enough is a WIN in my book :100::facepunch: I’m really glad it went this way to be a “proving” ground on your end. It far exceeds expectations anticipated, better on rot but excellent hardiness to the cold above freezing, BUT all that gave you the deeper blueish green purpling to come out beautifully. I should get some with lower night temps coming (18-21c ) I’ll bet it’s gonna be nice bag appeal trimmed and dried with bluish green/purple tinge throughout the buds :star_struck::trophy:

Yes, it can have a sharp odor to it, must be that pheno I’ve talked about before that has the strength of ammonia because I know “burn the nose” several times (CripXmas A BX1 and TC A BX1) I’ve encountered it, it’s with TC A too so with CripXmas, but that it’s self is interesting how the odor of a certain pheno is getting traced as it’s crossed. It’s too distinctive to miss, but clearly anyone could “hunt” this odor allele if they want it for whatever reasons.

@OriginalDankmaster96
Don’t seal the mylar bags. They are popping under pressure. If they aren’t sealed, they won’t pop. Just what I’ve heard from others.

No stretching. That’s one thing I’ve always loved about this plant

42-49 days total

NP bro, hopefully Pressure Skunk breezes to ya or we will definitely know there’s a skunk seed thief

Really ? I don’t know how else to seal the bags. They’re heat seal only I think. I guess I could just tape them instead. I’ll try it on next send out

Very nice man, it has been getting cold at night for sure. Was -4C here the other morning, and here we usually have snow by Halloween. This has been an outstanding October weather wise for us.

Don’t put them in a bag…:woman_shrugging:

How else do I put a sticker label on to ID

Put the label on the cap.
You have the stickers to show your brand

Yeah, I can fit the character sticker on there, but a named label wouldn’t stick entirely to small surface. Maybe just go back to those larger zip seal bags instead have better reinforced seams, other bags are crap to seal in

It’s the gasses that build in the bag during shipping.
Be it temperature changes or …

I wasn’t aware of that, I thought it was very minimal to pass through, but apparently a stronger reinforced seam is necessary for pressure change

Perhaps adding a pin hole to the bag so they equalize?

So I have taken a couple cuttings from 1 of the CripXmas A2 as I wanted to start flowering some out soon and knowing they can give the good ole brain scrambler is reason enough to have a few more on hand for a perpetualgrow of them and for me to learn this particular plant better.

“Too Infinity and Beyond”.

Holy Hell, @OriƙginalDankmaster96 you mentioned cutting from CripXmas A2 rooted quickly but I didnt expect this. Took cuttings 241020 and today 241031 tons of roots are starting to push thru the rock wool cubes

When I left for work the night of 241029 no root were visible. Very impressed with these. Previous cutting I’ve taken normally start to root in 17-21 days before anything major took place.

I can’t say how impressed with these strains you’ve made. Vigorous, Potent, Stable, and Stable keeping worthy. @OriƙginalDankmaster96 your mass amounts of effort and time invested is truely going noticed in this household!!!

Yup, that’s another aspect to it’s production potential is the faster rooting that keeps it moving, you can have clones rooted and waiting for when a harvest is due to pre-veg them to be ready for rotations. I’m baffled why a commercial operation hasn’t picked up these beans yet…

Thanks, I do appreciate it. I’m still impressed myself. Everything growers covet is in the CripXmas A2, fast rooting, fast flowering, short growing, low stretch for a sativa dom hybrid with high calyx to leaf ratio, solid density and yields, insane gland ratio, true pine terpene profile with spice and mint, super high potency that has combined creeper and racy effects. I would challenge ANYONE to find me her equal, but I know out of the many works from the well respected it STANDS on its OWN and has NO EQUAL :face_with_monocle: It makes me start to think there’s a concerted effort to suppress my reach of getting this out to bigger growers and commercial producers, cause I know this one would be a HOT seller to get in a dispo!

Just transplanted my cripXmas a2 clones into 5gal buckets. Root ball was looking thick! Think they were vegging for 3 weeks since we got roots in the clone tray.

That was in a 1/2gal

Yup, that’s another thing, the roots are incredibly tight packed but it can grow for a very long time in a smaller container. I mean I had a mother for a year in 6" square bonsai style pot before it STOPPED growing entirely, stood nearly 4 ft but the stalk was bamboo size like 2 gallon container :flushed:

want to drop a line or twelve, been gone for a while, too much to go into quickly but: my back went to hell about a year ago, along with that more depression after a real close friend died unexpectedly. I was not able to bring myself to care enough to attempt to grow. I could (can) not get past this loss, for some reason?anywho, my first attempt [first 3 images] at the CripXmas A&B did not go as planned (my veg lights were bad). they died from stretching and other maladies. my latest try [last 5 images], well, I think it is going alright, so far… plant is 7 days from flipping (2024-10-25).
give me a reply and let me know what your thoughts are, if you are interested?

regards,

Thanks, I appreciate it when someone explains a long absence due to life issues. It happens but you still HONOR word, which is cardinal in growers trusting each other. That’s MORE IMPORTANT than anything. I am sorry to hear you slipped into a dark place for a time. I empathize as I’ve been in funks before myself. As some know I’ve redirected seeds from members that couldn’t honor the commitment to others that have done grows. Now it’s good to see a room full of those going be it B or A, both have proven equally good and on the money, potency, terps and effects, larger buds from PTK and NL2, so you’ll be more than rewarded waiting to do them when you know you’re able to.

That is interesting to hear that they still stretched under weaker light. Generally, there is no stretching, especially during pre flowering. Looks pretty good to me :+1::fire: Your flowering time will be 49-52 days, so you’re looking at a CripXmas harvest. Can smell like apples/cedar/pine/mint/bubblegum, extremely dense buds. Defoliate older leaves to thin the growth from shading bud sites. DO leave your sucker branches on, the lowers form mini raised tops. It’s TOP to BOTTOM buds, watch how fast each day gets. It’s ridiculous how you can notice it. I’ll be awaiting to see the progress as you can do it. This one definitely more body narcotic creeper than intense zoning racy in waves but THAT may be better for your needs anyway. I can certainly get some of the A2 seed to you if you like that kind of sativa experience when you’re done. I think some will attest “she’s a ride” you don’t overdo from physical impairment.

Others can weigh in how their experience with the B went. CripXmas A or 4th gen A2 is the preferable of the 2.
