Prepared a couple of jugs of water for the plants and vegetables using well water, rehydrated alfalfa and kelp and LABS. I baked beef short ribs with peppers, onions and zucchini for myself. Bon appetit :slightly_smiling_face:

I am on peritoneal dialysis and have to increase protein while minimizing potassium, sodium and phosphorus. I might have a burger with some leftover veggies tomorrow :slightly_smiling_face:

Ahh yes I remember that. Hope you are doing alright. Making cheese yourself is cool but how’s the taste?

@Mongobongo

I can’t eat cheese on dialysis diet. I have always used a blender to liquify the cheese and mix it with earthworm castings and/or amendments for plants. My neighbors’ dog loves it; I will save some for him.

Ahh sorry missed that in your paragraph. That’s cool. How does it keep mildew away?

LABS will destroy powdery mildew the lactobacillus eats a lot of pathogens. I use it as foliar during veg. LABS or milk is often recommended for the Powdery mildew. I use it to prevent issues and increase availability of nutrients via decomposition. It doesn’t hurt the earthworms or mites.

Super interesting. It acts as a natural fungicide.

It will outcompete most organisms and its cheap to make.

LABS also good for bringing out the terpenes

I have never had fungus gnats … not sure if the LAb eats larvae but it doesn’t bother soil mites and red wrigglers.

Moved the Jungle Spice x Black Domina seedlings from solo cups to yogurt containers. Recycled soil mixed with compost, Down to Earth Bio-live, coconut flour and oyster shells. All plants watered with red heirloom corn sprouts blended with ground flaxseed and oats. The sprouted seed blend looks like a milkshake.

I’m experimenting with longer sprouting times to encourage growth of mycelium. I blend the sprouts with grinded oatmeal or flaxseed and mix with ewc. Spray with LAB, cover container with plastic and get fuzzy soil in a few days. Grokashi is $30 per bag; microbes DGAF about bags :wink:

Bless their little hearts🤗

Not sure if you’d consider it but making your own grokashi/ bokashi is much cheaper ! Outside the initial em-1 cost you can get red drum wheat chaff like 10$ for a 40-50lb bag it’s quite easy and kinda fun!

Blended the barley sprouts with bat guano tea, silica, calmag. dried molasses and PSB to feed the plants…The Red Tent is setup for flower on 11/13 with 600 watt LED and 150 watt hps. Tent was vacuumed, wiped down with LABS, trays washed and dried, plants lollipopped, clip fan replaced vortex fan for cross ventilation.

The zamaldelica is over 15 inches high, the4 Dank Sinatra x Lebanese and RSC Chitralli have been vegging since November. the last additions, the surviving 4 jungle spice x black domina are approximately 3 weeks old. I delayed starting flower until it was clear that no surgery was required as a result of kidney transplant evaluation. the plants are in nursery pots except the jungle spice in yogurt containers. Females may be transplanted to larger pots; males will be moved to the patio. I plan to setup a t5ho veg area in a closet after I decide who to veg … some mexican, africans or more OG strains.

@Tinytuttle

this is my version of grokashi. i realized that letting grains sprout until mycelium forms, blending with other grains and ewc gives me fuzzy soil in a few days. my garage is packed with gardening supplies and fishing gear. I recently broke down a 50 lb bag of dried molasses into 5 gallon storage buckets.i have 2 compost bins and one recycled soil bin taking up floor space. I can’t lift more than a gallon but can move 2 gallon pots on my rollator if necessary. Right now I have to practice KISS but I hope to make some changes later in the year.
