The poblano peppers have survived the winter on the patio but the cold days are not over. Hopefully the alfalfa sst will keep them chugging until spring arrives
The first male to raise his head is a Dank Sinatra x RSC Lebanese. I am soaking shot cups of RSC Sinai and TomK seeds for the veg closet
damn Iād day give that male a shot. make some selectively pollinated f3ās with him and I bet you will have something really nice.
looks very Lebanese dominant, the pure Lebanese has a little bit of pink in the pale new growth just like this. What really makes this one stand out is the resin on the surrounding leaves. havenāt found one quite like that in the ds/leb, only the pure Lebanese. In Lebanon they use the males as well as females for hash production, so the males are actually high potency plants with an appreciable cannabinoid content.
a study in the mid seventies tested cannabinoid content of male and female plants from different landrace populations by grinding up whole plants and testing them for overall cannabinoid content by volume. If I remember correctly, the average total cannabinoid content for the females was 7% (again, this is across the whole freshly chopped plant, not from a selected sample of dried and cured flower like modern thc testing) and the males averaged 12% cannabinoid content.
you could actually make edibles or juice with this male and get a great outcome. I always make juice with my Lebanese males, and unlike most strains, the juice is actually somewhat psychoactive.
If you get red tipped male flowers when the pollen pods start forming, this pheno is a true winner. If you still have a place to isolate males, Iād suggest putting this one aside. consider using it for some controlled pollination. but definitely, when it reaches peak ripeness harvest it for medical use as edibles or juice.
I have excellent results with Lebanese male plants. I infused coconut oil with 4 Lebanese males and 1 female plant. The female was heavily seeded and the males were pollen bombs. I donāt know what the cannabinoid or terpenes count was. I used the oil to replace hydrocodone after triple heart bypass surgery.
I donāt cry over male plants and the Dank Sinatra x RSC Lebanese males will be greatly appreciated. I am not a breeder but will make some seeds if I have females. I am having trouble uploading pictures but will continue to record the plants for my records.
Thanks for the notes on what to look for in the DS Lebanese males. Its early days but I will have room on patio for the males.
thatās awesome that the Lebanese males are working for pain relief, Iām really happy to hear that.
no need to make seeds, I just get excited when I see an interesting genetic expression. Iāve also had great results with edibles, topicals, and juice made with these males.
please let me know if you need any more of the Lebanese Sinatra. I think the fact both the females and the males are medicinal makes this one a great strain to have around for medical use.
And let me know if you would like to try any of the pure Dank Sinatra (78 la affy x 88g13hp). Itās very strong, very sedative, and provides very effective pain relief. It is true knock out bud, only good for resting and sleeping.
Yes, i would greatly appreciate more of the Dank Sinatra x RSC Lebanese seeds and the original Dank Sinatra seeds. The trimmings are helpful as well. I went to Walmart earlier today for paper products. My car keys fob died after 11 years of use. I had to tolerate the rain in 50 degrees for about 20 minutes until I manually opened the door.
The temperature and rain wouldnāt bother a normal person but it causes painful muscle spasms for me. I didnāt have to call someone to take me home to get the backup key fob. My hands didnāt lobster claw this morning. I smoked a bowl of the dank Sinatra x RSC Lebanese before leaving the house but took no prescription drugs. Yes, its good medicine
I attach a link to Researchgate article regarding Israeli research on Lebanese cannabis. Lots of CBD was noticed.
Thanks again for your kindness, @zephyr.
thatās awesome to hear they are working for you. Itās awesome to hear that the Lebanse Sinatra prevented cramping and that it helped you tolerate getting wet in cool weather.
I use it to control spasms and cramps from my genetic muscular condition, and to help regulate my coordination, body temperature and blood flow because of dysautonomia.
Itās really cool to hear that you are using it for similar medical purposes, and getting the same positive results. Reminds me that I need to pop some myself soon. I will definitely be trying to get this line out to as many other patients as possible.
As a long term project I am going to try to breed this one into a few stable variants at f4 so it can become a truly stable line that can be reproduced ad infinitum for anyone who needs it.
Iāll get some more seeds sent out by Monday.
I have a few more lines that I think might help. Iāll send you a list once I get everything packed up.
And Iāll send also some other hybrids for you to use as raw greens.
I was thinking juicing or eating cannabis microgreens could be a worthwhile experiment. Iām about to try that and see how it goes, I certainly have enough seeds from my 2019 outdoor breeding project.
Fed all plants mung beans seed sprouted tea blended with coconut flour, molasses, well water and soapnuts water.
Lebanese Sinatra & 2 Jungle Spice x Black Domina males in the Gentlemenās Corner of the Veg Closet.
that Lebanese Sinatra male is nice and chunky.
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner about that Lebanese Sinatra and assorted seeds care package, Iāve had a week of surprise doctor appointments that kept me busy.
Iāll try to get them packed up this weekend and in the mail early next week.
I greatly appreciate your gifts. I am going through similar juggling of medical appointments. A consultation generates a procedure entailing another 140 mile roundtrip. Traffic sucks and sat on highway for 40 minutes today. Cannabis oil espresso, bong hits and music are sanity saving
3 of 4 Jungle Spice x Black Domina are males. The third male was moved to the Bachelor suite tonight. All plants in the flower tent were top dressed with earthworm castings, dried molasses, Bio-live, alfalfa meal and langbenite. Mung bean sprouted seed tea was used to water the top dressing.
Low overnight temperatures continue to keep most of the TomK, Sinai and uknown seeds dirt napping.
Duds are being replaced with seeds from a Nepalese Jamaican female whose long pistils absorbed pollen from multiple males. The Cannobiogen Nepalese Jamaican was beautiful smoke and I hope that the hybrids will be tasty
A friend gave me some cultured / fermented Japanese rice used as a starter for sake and as a probiotic to cure meats.
Do you know if I could use this culture as a starter to make lactobacillus serum? I was thinking it might be better than using random ambient cultures.
Or maybe it would be best used as a soil inoculant? I know Korean natural farming uses rice ferments, but Iām not sure how, and donāt know where to begin my research.
The rice sounds like treasure [I love sake]. I would use some for LAB. I dump soaked rice from LABS, old or spoiled rice into the compost bin. The soil mites and red wrigglers like grains. Interested in seeing your resultsā¦ do it
transferred 3 Dank Sinatra x RSC Lebanese, 1 RSC Chitrali, 1 Jungle Spice x Black Domina and 1 Ace Zamaldelica to 2 gallon pots. mixed compost, Black Star organic earthworm castings, Down to Earth alfalfa meal, oyster shell and freshly ground oatmeal. The Jungle Spice x Black Domina has the most pungent scent and starting to display female pre-flowers. will post some group photos later.
