@DanzaKuduro
Hey there, finally another Fl beach bum.
Are you treating your well water?
I have been using RO store bought H2O since my return back to the Space Coast.
I had great water from a spring fed creek in the hills of Kneeland, Ca. on the farm. Man do I miss that good water you could actually drink it right out of the creek.
I see you using pond or lake H2O and the well also. Back in the 1980s and 1990s I had the well running through an RO 5stage filter for my gardens. This well I have now is not as eggy smelling(sulfur) as the one I had beachside , havenât had it tested but stucco has some pretty bright orange stains(iron) as well from the sprinklers. Iâm working a new garden using natural farming techniques KNF, Just started learning about KNF, and I like what you are doing in your grow.
Currently getting parts for the water filter in place and building a new set of LEDs
I have your page bookmarked and taking notes maybe ask a few questions along the way.
Tell that body of yours to straitân up and fly right⌠Blessings for your health Brother.
Thanks for sharingâŚ
Grace and Peace
Iggy
I donât treat my well water; itâs filtered for the sprinklers because the sand will clog the sprinklers. I noticed lots of silica and copper catches in the lawn sprinklers.
I fill empty gallon jugs with well water and add supplements like calmag or water soluble calcium (egg shells, clam shells or sand flea shells in vinegar); rehydrated alfalfa and kelp; comfrey extract; LABS; molasses etc.
My soil is 7 years of compost, recycled soil, sst, compost tea, mulch, oyster shell and hydroton. I add coco coir, hydroton and oyster shell to aerate seedling soil or pots. My compost bins are broken down by red wrigglers from the ewc, soil mites, palmetto bugs and black soldier flies during hot summer⌠whatever makes it into the garage.
I used local freshwater fishing pond and golf course ponds for best compost water. Ponds with live fish, snake, turtles, birds etc are usually safe . I also prefer pond water for flower supplements like bat guano, langbenite. I used to fish the ponds in the park and I miss that. Great place to fish during cold weather and heat waves.
Take your time with the KNF and probiotics material. Good soil from compost and clean water to feed the critters in the soil is important. Worms, mites, flies and roaches are happy with your leftover fruit, veggies, sprouted seed, LABS cheese, compost, coffee grounds, yard waste etc.
Remaining cracked, uncracked and short tail GSC x Bubblegum and Melvanetics Lady Cindy added to single germination cups under T5HO. Uncracked Skunk 91 added to community germination nursery pot domed with quart ziplock bag.
Next group of germination candidates are all feminized Hawaiian strains. The bleeding Dragon Blood Hashplant male deserves a harem. Poor dude has been topped, cloned, revegged and trapped in a closet with seedlings.
The Sultan of Swing awaits the sprouting of Aloha OG, Maui Wowie and Ohelo Berry. The Island girls were ziplocked in paper towel soaked in banana LABS water with few drops of basil extract. The cable box is keeping them warm.
Yes Sir, I am real close to St. Johns river and plenty of little lakes and ponds.
I picked up some Manipuri, Cider Kush (X18) and Sinai from The Real Seed co.
Probably start some Sinai next Fall
Man do I love me some LABs cheese, roaches and palmetto bugs are out of luck, no free lunch here. Cat (Dude, big orange kitty) is privileged, he can have a crumble or two.
Palmetto bugs are like the Borg in Florida. The compost bins lures them to the garage. They donât tolerate bay leaves so it is easy to establish perimeter defense.
I have noticed that rainwater ph can be high at times but doesnât affect aerated compost tea. Good luck with the RSC strains; i enjoy landrace more than the commercial hybrids.
Transfer 3 Maui Wowie seedlings from cups to 1 gallon nursery pots of living soil. Dust root balls with Great White microbes powder and water. Soil was very dry an inch below surface of cups. Top with straw mulch.
Evict 3 gallon ginger pot from Veg Closet to foyer to make room for repotted Maui Wowie seedlings.
Turkish sprout is dying and last seed is still taking a dirt nap. No sprouts from Lady Cindy. 3 GSC x Bubblegum sprouts starting to stretch for the light and will be restrained with soil.
Noticed worms in living soil bin and added rotting crowns of broccoli. Placed broccoli stalks atop backyard container of poblano peppers. Rotting vegetation will provide heat and nutrients.
Topped off gallon of supplemental water: well water, calmag, comfrey extract, rehydrated alfalfa and kelp, molasses and pinch of Great White microbes powder. This will be used for plants in Veg Closet.
Aloha OG is first ziplock to produce a tail. This girl is trying to Set it Off
Body count:
3 Maui Wowie veg in gallon nursery pots
3 GSC Cookies x Bubblegum seedlings
2 Lady Cindy seedlings
1 Aloha OG planted in cup
Dragon Blood Hashplant male in veg
Syrian in early flower
Ohelo Berry, Maui Wowie and Aloha OG seeds in ziplocks for germination
Turkish seedlings died
Looking forward to seeing your pictures of the Syrian. The leaves on my Syrian were fading fast to light yellow from the original lime green. Ewc dressing has helped to darken leaves and produce explosive new growth and flower production.
Soaking Maui Mango Haze, Shiskaberry and bagseed in shot cups of supplemental water [well water, calmag, rehydrated alfalfa and kelp, comfrey extract]. Plant Aloha OG seed; Maui Wowie and Ohelo Berry beans have not produced tails and will be planted in Potterâs Pot ⌠single nursery pot for unpopped seeds.
Soaking alfalfa, barley and mung beans in well water for sprouted seed tea. The grains and legumes provide carbohydrate, enzymes and minerals for the soil; also feed the critters â soil mites and worms.
The soaking in supplemental water began with 6 Maui Mango Haze, 4 Shiskaberry and 7 bagseed. 9 seeds popped before I started dialysis. Another Shiskaberry and bagseed popped and will be planted later when I disconnect from Baxter, my artificial kidney machine.
The supplemental water has popped 11 seeds out of 17 in 2 days. The seeds still have to sprout after their dirt naps . The shot cups of supplemental water were quicker and more productive than the cable box ziplock sauna. I think the LABS in the comfrey extract is the MVP.
I found packs of 12 biodegradable seed starter pots and 3 aluminum tray with clear dome at the Dollar Tree.
Each tray holds approximately 15 seed starters.
