Trying something different and mixed up some new soil mix with New Zealand Spagmoss. Some many recognise it as reptile bedding or media or orchids. It's peat moss before it dies, sinks, and goes anaerobic. It's smells like a ponds when you open the bag.
I broke it down by hand and added worm compost and amendments kinda like your grandma cooks lol. Here's how it breaks down, pretty much.
40L Spagmoss (broke down and loose it fills a 12 gallon rubber maid tote)
1/3ish worm compost (before I committed wormicide, they regularly got feed closed loop biochar with their food)
1/2 gallon rice hulls
2 cups of crushed oyster shells
2 cups oyster shell flower
2 cups Basalt
2 cups kelp meal
2 cups insect frass
1 cup alfalfa meal
1 cup neem meal
1 cup fish bone meal
1 cup malted barley powder
1 cup grokashi bran
Broke up and partially broke down
All mixed up and ready to sit and "cook"
