fluence uses the same white samsung diodes as most other popular LEDs but the ray 22 is almost 4$ a watt. they also offer other spectrum options using prob cree and osram which are more expensive but then its almost 5$ a watt. it definitely is a slick design tho.
They make a 9 site unit that fits a 10" footprint.
I'll.have to look into it and see if it'll fit height wise.
If this newest thing doesn't work I might just have to get on. The dimensions i got off Amazon are 11.1 x 11.5 x 9.1 inches, so it +plant height just might work out.
High end plug and play, maybe, but the savings in the electric bill, for me means free lighting, even at $10/watt. Solar panels and LED, psyched.
Just please, please dont invert it to 120 only to have to convert it back to D.C. THAT would be the ultimate in efficiency.
Excuse me, I think my nerd is showing.
I'll do the math later and figure what my $/W cost is for the array. Off the top of my head $1.70/w
