How do you feel about the extremely compact node spacing the LEDs produce?
We've found it a bit difficult to manage in plants that finish stretching quickly, so we're working on using gibberellic acid to dial in the height of each strain.
It seems to me that many indoor growers have bred plants acclimated to orange light. This leads the plant to believe it's growing in the shade and an increase in gibberellin production will allow it to reach direct sunlight, where the blue spectrum inhibits further gibberellin production. By breeding for shorter plants (under 6ft/2m) under pure HPS light we artificially select plants with lower gibberellin production, and they end up too compact under LEDs or CMH with higher levels of blue light.
Longer flowering sativa's seem to be the better choice for us under the more true-to-life spectrums, what's been your experience?
