Death Star Challenge

I am a first time grower, dazed and confused, by all the details and choices to make in developing a method to grow.
I’m doing a small comparison between starting veg with some Death Star clones using Detroit Nutrients Water Only soil vs. Pro-mix and Advanced Nutrients (hobbyist level) grow-mico-bloom.

I’ll be checkin this out. Love the Death Star, never grew it or seen it grown. They look like they need some magnesium pretty badly. Some epsom salts or cal mag should fix them up, assuming your pH is in range.

Nice! Looking forward to watching the water only soil. I got a water only soil run going also.

Death Star is one of the relatively few Ohio-famous strains. Lemon G, Dumpster, Meigs Gold being others, sure I’m missing some. Being from here I’ve smoked it many times and even grew the cut for a season or two. One of my biggest regrets in growing is not keeping that cut around, but I’m a seed pop-a-holic. It really was a great and easy strain. I think it’s a cross of Sensi Star and Sour Diesel. It was a fairly open structure plant that made these dense golfball nugs. The shape and size remind me of Bodhi’s hashplant crosses, like Black Triangle. The dried bud was LOUD as they say. Could smell it from a mile away, and is a distinctive smell and smoke. Skunky gas, peppery, pine, touch of citrus. Was a bit of a creeper and leaves you feeling great, not trashed, but definitely stoned to the bone and relaxed to the max.

That being said, I’ve got too many beans not to be popping every round. I love how seeds are always something new! But if Death Star came around again I would definitely be keeping a mom around.
