A small ‘tweak’ for the paper towel method…
Assemble as normal but store vertically instead of horizontally…
Why?
Gravity, the beans will all drive their roots down in the same direction. Less of that ‘random corkscrew’ stuff that complicates transplanting.
…I just use a fridge magnet…

The secret is to not leave the paper towel drenched. Lightly squeeze out the excess water before you put the seed in and into the bag. I was getting mold the first few times I tried it till I figured that part out.

Studies show 1% hydrogen peroxide instead of just straight water produces the best germination rates. I soak my paper towel in it

My germination method is soak in 1% hydrogen peroxide for 18 hours. Then I sow directly into rockwool cubes but you can do dirt. Keep the temp at 82f. Keep the humidity at 99% until they pop up.
I use a Styrofoam cooler with a heat pad under a cup of water. Keeps the cool 75-82f and a constant 99% humidity. Clones domes and a space heater set to 80 work nicely too

Could you eleborate the steps here?
- Soak paper towel and squeeze out excess water
- Place paper towel in ziploc bag
- Place seeds on paper towel
- Close ziploc bag
- Hang ziploc bag upright
Something like this ^ ?

6. Then place ziplock baggy in warm dark place to induce germination. Should see tails in bout 24-48hrs or so

I found coffee filters to be much better than regular paper towels. The tails don’t get stuck to / in the coffee filters.

Another good option I’ve heard about is RV septic safe toilet paper. Won’t hold the roots

Do it after the inital 24 hour soak in a hydrogen peroxide/water mix.
Leave it alone in the baggie for minimum day and a half before checking
You can try this experiment on vegetable seeds to not waste any precious cannabis seeds. Lima beans are what my teacher used in like 6th grade, lol i still remember biology class

I have a bunch of worthless seeds from wheb i wqs accidently herming plants before I knew what I wqs doing so they are perfect for practicing germination before getting to my valuable beans

Really interesting seedlings. There’s 5 vigourous hybrid looking seedlings, 1 that’s similar but lagging behind
Then there’s this really indica deep chunk looking seedling here
And this strange mutant plant with 3 leaves

Your seedlings look a little stretched to me 
The dwarf ones look odd. But that’s what happens when you cross two very different strains, you’ll get random combinations

Funny bc i use coffee filters from time to time. I like the papertowels in plastic sandwich bags now though bc they never dry out. That 3 leaf plants pretty cool
