Deficiency has reached my main cola, should I throw this thing out? What should I do?

Greetings all, from St-Jacobs, ON!

Cannabis seems to hate my water, and keeps getting cranky after a few weeks. This time of course in flower, and it has progressed to my main bud as seen in the pic

Should I just throw this thing completely out and try again? I am a stubborn mofo and determined to experiment until I can make my hard water composition actually work for me. I don’t know if this means cutting my water down with RO, or adding something to it, or adding something to the soil… But I would love your advice

Thanks again experts, I won’t be deterred and have tons of babies in veg to try again, and again, and again

Media: KIS Mix Blended Soil | Black Swallow Living Soils, Brantford ON (blackswallowsoil.com)

Lighting: HLG-550 R-Spec

Water: Tap from Mannheim Water Treatment Plant. Kitchener-Waterloo, ON

Water Composition: https://www.icmag.com/attachments/1714068512427-png.18993281/

Water PPM: 310-350

Water pH: 8.0 settles down to mid 7 and then I GH pH Down to 6.5

Just wondering if I should throw this out, would it stress nanner from the crispy leaves?

I was listening to the Cannabis Science podcast and on episode 3 or so they had Clackamas Coots on and he seems to be a huge believer that enough castings can fix ANYTHING. They’re loaded with natural calcium and magnesium and all kinds of trace stuff. Will buffer your water problems and fix them up as long as there’s sufficient castings in the media that aren’t spent etc… So I added both a slurry to top dress and just fed them the tea as well

Huge thanks again, just wondering if I should pitch this and try again. I have so many clones in veg I can never flower them all. I am brand new to the forums but was referred here from ANOTHER forum where a user sent me a DM saying I’d be much better here - so I am very greatful to be here.

Noobie here, I see a beautiful cannabis plant transitioning over to its end of life, It looks like it is fading, but Heck I dont even know why a plant fades so I cant chime in about that <3

Your very well versed so I assume you already thought of this anyway, Its a beautiful plant, I would not toss it.

She could very well just be asking for more nutrients from the soil, but the nutes are not their so she is taking from the leaves.

Someone with alot more knowledge will hit this post soon

I think that I understand the perceived concern, but without seeing the whole plant it’s quite hard to realize if the plant have a decent shape or not ^^ It can change totally the perspective.

You can get a really great water filter from Canadian tire it’s in the RV section there top quality but because there for your RV there cheap 30.00 for I believe a year ! Or try bottled water if your trying to isolate factors .

In my opinion; dude the plant is pumping out new flower growth, and from what we can see you still have plenty of leaves on her. Sure you do have some deficiency, but don’t sweat it she’s pulling what she needs from the leaves. I think its a great goal to be able to keep these plants green all the way through flowering, but your plant is still doing her thing man, let her finish!
Side note that my water comes out of the tap over 8ph, and I don’t mess with RO water or filtration either, and my plants are in good shape.

Can you adjust your PH to 5.7-6.3?
Additionally getting a chloramine filter may assist. I’m in T.dot (Aka: Canada’s Mordor) and I use a chloramine filter for all my :broccoli: as it’s rife in the water supply in addition to Chlorine.

Much like many on here have said if you can show us a full plant shot we may be able to assist better.

But I personally don’t see any reason to toss it. Just lost some bag appeal which is one of the most useless things people judge flower by

Looks like St. Jacobs is piggybacked on to the Waterloo water system.

A quick scan and the only thing that sticks out is high sodium.
Here’s the report.

It’s typical that they will look a little ‘scruffy’ at the end, once you have them ‘dialed in’, then they will look pretty (otherwise blame the genetics… :vulcan_salute:)

They are different in different parts of the city and also varying for weather.

Check for amber trichs and if you see any put her in the dark for 24 hours then chop.

Have you gone water only this grow? I think you still look good, maybe could’ve just used some extra top dressings to get you through flower, but like others have said a full plant shot would help see more of what’s going on. I think you can still ride this out to harvest and get some good smoke!

You guys are so great, sorry for my delayed response - I ended up chopping this down recently but am keen to re-start my flower tent and have new plans of attack, mostly concluding at needing a bigger pot if possible to begin with and trying to time my feedings right. A huge thanks again and I plan to try and become an active user in this community as I posted the same question in a few places and very few did I get the enthusiastic replies like I got here. Fantastic community. Thank you all again!

I just made a new post and question in the organics forum, if anyone here has any experience with Gaia Green

CHEERS !!!

I’ve given those inline carbon filters that hook up to a hose a shot before in previous experiments but didn’t find them to have a discernable effect, especially since you can use Absorbic Acid in proper dosage to do the same job on chloramines/chlorine to my knowledge. But I may try again. Thank you!

Wow! Thanks for getting back to me. Even with your tap at pH of 8 you don’t attempt to bring it down? The creator of my soil, Tad, at KIS Organics, just replied to my e-mail and he thinks I should pH to 6.6 just to be safe since my alkalinity exceeds 8.

May I ask your PPM?

Precisely what Tad at KIS Organics (creator of my soil blend) has just asked me to do. He wants me to pH down to 6.6

Thank you sir

Yes! It is! but we also have an independent water report!

Here it is:

This was given to me directly from the engineer at Mannheim Water Treatment Plant!

Also true - the regions water supply is made up from a combination of The Grand River and then HUNDREDS of wells throughout the area which are then blended to meet the specs of my post just above here
