How about I reiterate with a more formal definition of the term.

Wow who knew that plants are so complicated. Fact is, life in Its many forms. is complicated.
It’s not enough to know Webster s definition of the term, as it is better to understand how the term relates to plants.

Hold up a second, because I have to say this. What sense does it make to search for a pre commercial cross. When the same actions will be taken that put cannabis in the position that we are in now.
Hence the reason why I’m quick to toss example of rks. That’s because, even though they are excellent examples of the buzz, taste and smell of the rks, they still exhibit the poor yield potential of the commercial “degenerative” plants. Therefore it doesn’t make sense to move forward with continued breeding of such plants. Time wasted as many of you more advanced breeders already know.
Which is what I mean by “degenerate state” ahem hplv the question now becomes how do we correct the matter. Because if these poor breeding habits aren’t corrected, regardless of which strain is used for breeding, in as little as the first cross, it will return to the same degenerate state.
To fix that which is wrong with cannabis, the first and foremost thing to do is to create a none degenerative cross. Which is a feat within itself. Especially to someone who lacks the knowhow to do so. Which is why these plants have not been seen since commercialization.
