Diet Peps’ Pipe Dreams

Lol right?
I want THIS exact plant REALLLLL bad

Although I suck at growing so it would probably look crappy anyways

Love it! But let’s be honest, if I grew that, there would be no leaves except some shriveled up claws by this point in the grow

“Uh sorry guys, can’t show the pics”

Had to jump in my lunch break…. Have you guys checked out the new Potcast with Mojave Richmond? I heard 30 minutes of it on the way to work. Man this guy is fascinating. Everything that comes out of his mouth makes my head spin.

14 days growth on left, seven days on right!

I have not, but I’ll check it out!
That hydro tower is awesome!

I really want one at home. It grows such incredible lettuce, with no skill…… it’s obvious what I’m thinking here…

I have an ebb n flow setup, but sadly it takes up too much space so I’ve yet to play with it only had it set up and fill and drain but not with plants in it

Most likely I need a 5x5 to fit the pots with the connections and tubing

I’ve tried to get it all in a 4x4 but that’s not happening :joy:

This is the set up I have:

Maybe I’ll get a full room going again in the next few years run it in side by side with living soil like I typically prefer and dial in both after some trial and error.

I bet you can grow some good Bud in there, though.

I personally always preferred good organically grown bud, but hydro is so much easier for me. It’s just so much more predictable. My only issue in the past has been disposing of solution. I feel like it puts a big burden on the ecosystem. Since I’ve been using the farm at work, I’ve been filtering used solution with a zero water filter, and it filters it clear!

I really want to make a knock-off of this unit. I can see that it’s pretty much plastic fencing placed through holes in a large tank, with a basic pump and drip line. The tank is two pieces, and the fence pieces encircle six led shop lights mounted on a pvc pole. It’s really pretty basic….

Oh, and this unit would fit in a 4x4. I measured

That’s awesome if you can build it!

But I totally understand what you mean, about hydro sometimes I am not in the shape physically to be watering and gardening daily

That’s why I can’t do things like drain to waste anymore, the large amount of waste water like you mentioned plus lots of labor

That’s why I typically stick with soil organics, But I have played around with synthetics on and off quite a few times.

My wife would be absolutely thrilled with that!

I was actually eyeballing that recently! Looks super bad ass. It’s a bummer you can’t make it work right now

Probably wouldn’t be too tough if you’re handy at all! You should give it a shot!

Your reply reminds me how much I enjoyed growing 5 VCA plants in a 20” square space in my garage the past couple months. They were freaking tiny plants, but I still got that thrill of growing them.

My main point is, small hydro even on a table can be super fun. And one can run hella plants that way. A plant in a 4” cube is very easy to manage and move around. Could even put a little res under a table and pump circulate the water.

I’m thinking about my sunroom now….

How do you keep them from falling over?

I do think super small space growing is really cool. MrSparkle grows in small little cabinets and everything looks great!

I think that’s one of the things that makes growing fun! It’s all scalable depending on the space you have!

They were so small, there was no worry lol
They extended like 8 inches above the cubes. But I do use a lot of silica in my growing, so I think they would stand up for a while.

Gotcha. That is pretty little  I’ve only managed to grow a few autos that small… And it wasn’t on purpose.

I flowered those VCAs when they only had like two sets of real leaves and it was really cold. I expected them to reach about 15”, so I’m as little worried this generation has too much Afghan influence. But not so worried because the f3 I grew outdoors for Bodhi Party looks like the best plants of the previous generations. I think it’s just more compact indoors. Getting very close to smoke testing the vca!!!

Maybe the shortness has something to do with the cool white leds, too. I’m not much of an indoor grower.

So you used seed from the #1 plant for the party?

Perhaps :person_shrugging:t2: I don’t know how anything affects anything  I suppose a quick chatgpt question could answer lots of it, but yeah, that’s probably a good guess.

Yes, I used an F3, from the VCA 11 batch that I sent you for Bodhi Party, and the little mini sensi plants were from the same batch. So far; I’ve popped 11 VCA 11’s: the Bodhi Party mom, the five little mini girls, and five males that I culled. I haven’t popped any of the 31’s yet, but I imagine they are pretty similar to the 11, with maybe a little more pheno diversity in there.

Been thinking I should pop something to go with the purple satellites this spring.

With a strong preference to grow from larger bags of seed, I am leaning toward throwing down a lil grid of Wolf Packs (courtesy of @Uprangewilly) in one gallons. Sensi run!
