It’s been a bucket list strain for me for at least a decade, now. My understanding is, Mass Super Skunk is just a selection of Skunk 1, tho I’ve not read up on it in a while. Forgive the low quality image, but this is supposed to be the breeding program that produced the Skunk 1, from this page;

I received it from Farmer Joe at F4, so assuming everyone along the line kept proper notation, the seeds in this auction should be four generations removed from the original release.
I wasn’t expecting things to take off like they did. 
I’m just looking to disseminate the genetics to help cull some of the scamming going on in the world of Skunks

I’m not sure if you’re into podcasts… But you should listen to the breeders syndicate by Matt Riot — for several episodes they go in depth on Neville and The seedbank, including the superskunk.
IIRC Notsodog said Superskunk is: Jim Ortegas “Afghan T” x Skunk1 — and I think “Afghan T” is a specific cut of Maple Leaf Indica (also Jim Ortegas). If any of us look hard enough, there should be pictures and the lineage of super skunk in one of the old Neville catalogs.
Which now that think about it… I just want to say, there’s been some back-and-forth between Topdawg & SkunkVA about who has/had the ”true” Superskunk — Topdawgs is indica dominant, SkunkVAs is Sativa-dom. Since it was a seed line, and a polyhybrid, I don’t know why each one of them argues about this; Neville sold millions of dollars worth of seeds… I would imagine there was more than one super skunk cut in 1990s prohibition America

You’re right, Mass super skunk was a clone only variety, was supposed to be a pheno from super skunk. It is impossible for it to be a seed line.
