In the buildup to 420 and because my wife broke my last banger, she bought this monster of a banger from Quartzbanger (I think?) It’s called “Lava” or “Lava Kit” I don’t remember the box exactly, but it’s a big ass banger with a “Terp Tower” and a terp pearl that is 3 pearls stacked, that goes in the “Terp Tower”. My wife has pulled some nice clouds with it but I, well honestly don’t get them. I get wispy thin little hazes that don’t even feel like I’m getting a hit. It’s not exclusive to the Lava kit it happened with my old banger and the new normal one I bought. What am I doing wrong? I feel like I get higher with standard flower bong rips. I bought a temp gun that can’t see the heat on the banger, too cheap I guess, but I’m getting tired of buying new things that don’t work.
Yeah I’ve been considering just going back to flower. Seems to taste better. My nectar collector hits just fine but can get messy and still tastes off. I’m thinking stick with flower and wander into dabs occasionally.
Not all bangers are created equal. I used to have a dab company, and the type/quality of the banger/carb cap is everything. Its one of those things thats extremely worth the investment. Crystal Star Quarts of Quave Club for bangers. And you want a hovercap or bubble style carb cap.
Same gang, and it’s looking like the same than CocoaCoir … the rosin is the only one extract i can stand.

Nice thread man I was actually about to invest in a rosin press soon although normally just a joint guy but have way too much herb sitting around figured it would be useful to make some.
I agree with @BackyardBoogie420 you need a cap too get a proper dab to put you on the floor for most dab rigs. The caps are not universal ( fit or style ) so get a few different types to try on your rig they are cheap (or expensive) up too you but fit and style matter more than name brands in my experience!!! Also temp and where you heat the material on the rig really matter !!! Happy Easter Everyone!!!
i’ve never dabbed. Don’t have a nail. i smoke outside, in the dark, and can’t be having all kinda lights, lighters, paraphernalia going allatime out there. So is shatter anything like dab material? And do you smoke it the same way as dabbing? I tried rolling some, no good. Then i put some on top of some bud in a pipe, and that was verry tasty, problem is the bud gets in the way after a hit or two. I was quite surprised at how mellow the smoke tasted. The high, well, i got the shatter at a dispo, so wot do u think the high was like? I googled how to smoke shatter, i’d just be curious as to how you partake. Happy Easter/420.
E-Rigs are basically what the masses are using for Rosen wax or shatter… They have a ceramic bowl with adjustable temps. They have the battery power to hit really well. They are basically the Puff Co models but lots of companies doing something similar cheaper. A little more discrete way to smoke concretes… Cheers @3bombedmice !!!
If you’re trying to smoke shatter in a joint, the best way is to dip a dab tool(wax carver) in a small amount, then melt it for a quick second with a bic lighter, and smear it on your paper. You can smear a whole lot too. But my favorite thing for that trick is using it to seal blunts. You can use the melted shatter as a hash-glue to seal up the tobacco wrap for insane spit-less blunts.
I miss my old e-nail setup with a pretty cool dab rig and banger that had those little fake opals in bubbles here and there, I prefer low temp all the way and carb caps of course to get the most out of every hit in my experience.
Currently I’m hitting rosin out of my puff co peak and I love it, just gotta keep the ceramic clean but it charges fast and does the job pretty well, but I still love a fat dab out of a glass rig and banger as the puff co works best with smaller hits more frequently vs large globs at once.
From what i’m reading i need to investigate the puffco, eh? i’m off to go down that bunny hole, now.
Another thing i want to ask, are dabs really smooth tokes? I found the shatter to be amazingly smooth tasting, unlike any of the other stuff i’ve had from dispos. I really loved that flavor.

Which would u recommend, the Peak or the Pivot? I noticed in the vid the one kid was coffing his lungs out. I can’t be having that, for a multitude of reasons. Noise being one, but i’m 76 years old, i don’t want to be found dead on the floor with a nail in my hand. LOL
Edit 2: Another thing i forgot to say is I have the first edition, now no longer in production, Arizer. I used it once and cleaned it up and reboxed it. But it is for buds and i don’t think any kinds of extract.
Edit 3: I am concerned with smell, as well. I can find baggies to put the Peak or Pivot in, that will work for the short term, but eventually that good skunky weed smell exudes through the plastic ziploc baggies too. So i guess i’m wondering if the bag that comes with the Puffco Peak will control odor, so visitors don’t notice the smell of cannabis and thus invoke the stigma of me being a worthless, hippy dope fiend, or conversely smell the stuff and decide to come back and steal it. One never knows.
