DIY Cannatrol builds

Ok guys, I’m new to this site. I own a cannatrol, but I have also built 3 of my own units. I’d like to see others builds. I’ve made 2 out of 28 bottle or 70liter thermoelectric wine fridges that are the same size as the units cannatrol use. A build I just finished I used a 78 liter or 32 bottle thermoelectric wine fridge. I don’t add an extra peltier to my units. I use the factory peltier cooler that is provided in the unit just like our friends at cannatrol. I really enjoy making them. There are many different thermoelectric fridges out there. And they all have a different style peltier cooler. Some have one and some have two. I look forward to seeing how successful you have been with your home made versions.

I’m very interested in more info about what’s going on here. If I understood the basics, I’d give it a shot, and I might get some other ideas, too.

That looks pretty slick. It only uses one peltier? Lets see some shots under the hood to see what you’ve got going on there.

It appears the AC Infinity controller is one of the best out of the box options for handling the temp and humidity. I’ve got a couple wifi capable Inkbird humidity and temp controllers and the inkbird app has the ability to use automation with “if, then” controls and setpoints you enter manually. What I have in mind is using individual Peltiers and power supplies for each function, couple dc fans and insulating a wardrobe.

Here are a couple threads with good related info.

I have a couple I made using a Koolatron cooler and Inkbird humidity controller coupled with a separate dehumidifier. They work great.

@Hook I’ve had my eye on a koolatron. Been watching market place. That one has a dual peltier on the back. Similar to the one I just finished.

Yeah, that’s the one. I have a couple, they work awesome.

@Ingra86 well, it’s quite a process. And from the sounds of it. Cannatrol knows how to do it and myself.

Are you interested in sharing your technique and components you use?
I am drawn to understand how to use solely the Peltier to control VPD / humidity.
Since I wasn’t able to find people like you - that have discovered a solution themselves - I am working on a passive humidifier with electrical control - so that my fridge is trying to keep a certain temperature and I am able to control humidity without actively heating up my inner fridge like others do. I’d very pleased to hear your solution.
