First I’m curious in looking for those that have used it and what you thought. I’ve been using captian jacks dead bug brew which is spinosad but I keep seeing people on reddit say it stays in the plant cell walls and as such in the oils themselves. I was under the impression, and research suggest, that it breaks down very quickly under UV. The reason for it being banned per previsions discussions a year ago was it’s toxic to bees not so much it’s a risk to humans; however there’s no research on it being used on a product that will be smoked or vaped. Curious how many here have being using spinosad without issue? I typically bud wash outdoor grows.
But, in any regard a grower in Oregon,on reddit, recommended the Dr Zymes for everything bug or mold related and I believe they used it in their commerical production even in flower. So, I’m curious about how it works outdoors say in Oklahoma.
And, more to the point if it does work well can it be made easily as it’s very pricey?
I have used a mix of citric acid and potassium bicarbonate in the past that worked well. A half tablespoon to a full of each per a gallon. I’d start with half of each at first and see how they react.
Thanks! I was asking grok and it was saying some have used citric acid and yeast to make something similar. I’d assume since the yeast makes the enzymes or something.
I’m not sure it’s a micro nute, the yeast breaks down whatever is in there into the citric acid …right?
Anyways, do you spray from veg to flower and can you spray deep into flower? Most of my pests are bud worms from the moths, spiders, aphids and miners but I also need to have some sort of mold protection. All it’s done this summer is rain.
