by the way johny blaze was nevilles haze x blueberry. not F13…
I would avoid mr. nice seeds, that stuff is very watered down these days… ACE seeds beat it in very aspect for example. and many other haze seedmakers like doc d, top dawg or karma genetics… mr. nice seeds is very bad recommendation.

Appreciate the correction on the Johnny Blaze lineage, I definitely misspoke you’re right it’s made with Blueberry. Pretty sure I got it mixed up because I think it would be great to do a sort of Johnny Blaze 2.0 by putting F13 and Neville’s Haze together.
MNS has some winners. I wasn’t aware of it being a competition, I think ACE has some winners too. Blue Dream is half SSH so I think recommending the breeding house with the most provenance for having the originals would be ideal. If you think they’re watered down that’s cool. Much love
it is just my opinion. I liked mr. nice seeds when it was yellow packs, but after that… fruity boring 90 days SSH is not my cup of tea. c5 dom nevilles haze neither. I had better results from those other breeders, I forgot rare dankness.
but like I said if he wants blue dream like, then azure haze is that choice, again only my opinion. it is more blueberry dom with that little kick from silver haze. but very blue blue soul.

I remember when Red from Legends released johnny blaze. it was exciting. it was around 2006 I think. they selected from big number of plants that nevilles haze mother. but in difference to blue dream in USA or homegrown fantasy blue haze in Europe, it didnt make it till now. I dont see it would be grown in some extension. overall I dont see much of blue hazes out there.
this is pheno of flo/otm x thaihaze. it is definitely flo pheno. very burgundy/chocolate one… and spicy. it was quick flowering, like 10 weeks. very flo. like flo on steroids…

Maybe because Blue Dream happened? Both are blueberry & haze crosses, but maybe the Blue Dream cut was more grower friendly? The hype of the BD cut may have helped push Johnny Blaze out… IIRC the Johnny Blaze used DJ’s B130 male? I could be mistaken. Been a while since I dug around ICM for JB info

ah yeah maybe… The BD was first I thought anyways… but it is probably more commercial friendly since it used SSH instead of Neville’s Haze 
Has to have a shorter flower time than NH x BB… Maybe the Johnny just takes too long to flower for what you get. And maybe that what you get is too similar to BD to bother. I found that in the StarShine too, combining the blueberry in the ssdd to the a5haze in the starlite and the mom I used came out just like blue dream but different flavors. less foggy, but same kinda high and smoke. I was surprised at the time but I should’ve known it was gonna be a thing. Maybe that’s why Johnny Blaze didn’t stick around

These passed all my expectations. Blue dream lovers are gonna really enjoy this cross. Theres plants that match that ocimene profile and dreamy effect, and then theres plants that surpass it by quite a stretch in flavor and aroma.

people usually want what they cant have. when it was 40 bucks for pack, nobody grabbed that
but I am sure somebody has it. somebody offered it to me, but I cant remember who was that LOL sorry.

Blue dream is a huge yielder. One of the first 4lb a light plants I’d heard of with short flowering time. The yield and irie effect drove its popularity I think. Shes not the most pungent or flavorful, but solid in those categories.
I did grow out the azure and made a couple crosses with it. I loved it. I gravitated toward the wrigleys spearmint long stretch pheno I found.

Azure had more aroma n flavor along with the irie relaxing effect. Not as much yield in my keepers. Azures worth the grow imo. But if looking for the ocimene profile, I’d go with Star Dream to get that more classic creamy, lavender-esque , hazy goodness. It also has plenty of plants that have the enhanced blueberry, cherry, and clementine flavors. Almost in the sweet tart category. The haze leaners can get amonia, catpee, mixed with the fruits.
