DJ short old world genetics blueberry

This may be what i’m seeing also. Some of my outdoor Black Lotus f3 are very slow to flower and have very dark leaves due to high N in the soil.

If you have a local Farm Bureau office close by, They do free soil testing in my area, maybe yours too? Only way to really know, let the pro’s supply the test results…

It needs a couple weeks to ripen still. If you can keep the water from soaking the pot it will help to not mold as well.

That does sound a little slow. Maybe something stalled development? We had a cold snap for a week here in Michigan that slowed down flower stacking. Thank goodness this last week or 2 came back up into the 80s. We had some high 30f nights thst straight stalled development and turned some foliage purple.

Thanks for that. My flowers are just a tad behind the ones you posted. My other flowers though are fully stacked and big, sort of at the stage where new growers think they are done, but probably need another month.

Appreciate your help. Is Michigan a good growing evironment? My family is all from there, and the greenery is incredible. But is there enough sun? Must be!

You find the right genetics for you’re environment. Here in mid Michigan, the sun’s power to stack flower, really drops by mid October. So varieties that finish then or before are preferred to beat the late season cold and moisture that bring mold and rot. But in general, yes, its a beautiful place to grow plants. The amount of national forrest is astounding here, majestic, and beautiful. I come from Indiana where most of the area around me was flat with corn fields, so thats some perspective from my view.

I know you have worked with DJ’s genetics. Does he have any long flowering lines? any sativa expressing stuff? My Flo pack suggested 60 days for a sativa dominant hybrid. That will be an interesting one to explore, very fast for that kind of effect. (I’ve never tried ANY of his stuff before!)

How long are you looking for? The Blueberry F5’s (DJ SHORT) that I have going are now at 76 days and look to have a couple weeks left to go.

Thanks for that Coopdog. I must say that 90 days indoors is quite a discrepancy from the package claims of 56 - 65 days. What do you think is up with that? Are these more extreme sativa expressions?

Those plants look beautiful!

Hopefully you won’t have to chop right away as i recall Blueberry can have a nice body effect w a little amber in the trichs.

His k45 line was a recent sativa leaning cross. Most flo lines express more sativa leaning traits. The 98 f4 blueberry fem projects we just finished up have around 15 to 20% 12 week bbs phenos. Another favorite of mine was his blue v2, he used nl f4 choc thai and jf thai mothers. Theres a bunch. Plus some cool outcrosses we did to some sativa ladies.

I honestly don’t know, but I gotta say, my whole grow has been off it’s feed for most of this hotass summer. The three blueberry though, are green as hell and mostly seem all good. Better than the first two I just took that don’t look like they are gonna be good for much other than washing for hash. The terps smell wonderful, but the smoke don’t taste good at all. Not sure if that issue has effected the blueberry other than the leaves have been clawed like I was overwatering. That is not the case though. These wilt a little before they are watered almost every time. Hoping the BB turn out well. Something in the packaging or a forum possibly said I need to go to 11/13 to hurry them up. That’s not happening out there though, for a few reasons. I don’t need something that finicky, so hoping it finishes well even if it is long. I have cuts and this issue seems to disappear in the wintertime. We will see~!
