Yeah ive got two clones of the same newberry - one is in a 5gal and is yellowing and clawing as it finishes, the other is in a 2x4 bed and is much less yellow and isnt clawing. Both on same flowering schedule. So in this instance its def not excess nitrogen causing it. Might just be the standard stress response?
Yes. Buds are beautiful in all stages of growth imho.
I’ve read that plants bred in organic situations don’t do as well when grown in, uh, “non-organic” situations. And vice versa. It could maybe be something as simple as that, particularly when you consider that both Flo and Blueberry are such kind of “old,” worked lines. I dunno.
Yup for sure they are some picky beasts. In my case the 5gal is using a light version of coots I made for blueberry ha - its def too light. Whereas the 2x4 bed is much more rich soil.
I recall reading some interview or something with DJ where he talked about his soil mix and I was like,”Whoa…” haha. It was like an old-school kinda mix, heavy on the bat guano and whatever all else. So maybe his gear really does require high amounts of N, I don’t really know haha.
While opening some bud spots up on this Blueberry I noticed only 1 set of these.
Thoughts anyone? I know what I don’t want to hear =(
Well, that sucks.
Blueberry gonna Blueberry
I mean, those are full-blown male parts. Is that the unruly one that you’ve already been having issues with? Personally, something herms on me, it’s gone, although I did keep around one Sky Cuddler Kush from last round that did the same thing three weeks into flowering. I just removed all the branches that had male parts on them and “she” was fine for the rest of the grow.
As long as you’re not breeding with that plant, I’d say keep her around and keep a very close eye on it. Or trash it now haha.
Is that a thing, though? Is Blueberry a hermi-prone cross? I hadn’t heard that before.
Yea it’s pretty standard for Blueberry, they’re finicky little things. Had a blueberry sundae do the same awhile ago too. I let it run, the smoke was pretty killer all the same
This is another Blueberry, the tall curly cue one doesn’t have much change. Flushed with water and more h202 yesterday.
I’m going to cut the one branch hermie and keep a close eye.
If you are willing, you could take it away from the others, cut off the balls which will keep popping up for a few weeks, and still harvest and smoke the female flowers once they are ready.
I’ve had this happen and the removed balls don’t grow back but new ones will appear.
Key is to isolate it so it cant possibly seed your other plants.
I’m wondering if it’s worth keeping it. I told the other half if I find two more sets ill toss it.
You will have to think about the pros and cons of keeping it. It may be not worth keeping due to taking up grow-space and your time and energy. Good that you thought about it before taking action, you will have made the best choice if you have a little time to ponder.
I’m very interested to see how FLO does. Fantastic and rare treat of herb, she is!
Very fat. I do like. @HappyGoLucky21 not sure how I’m going to do it next time. I like tents but I can do just one big one in a 4x4. I do like to veg longer. Some I have are short. In the 4x4 the are tall but not thick. Some of the strains have amazed me. You know seeds are new to me. It was always bean bags. The times I tried seeds I was kinda laugh at. Clones always. But now I will clone more my next run.
She is still hanging on but bearly.
First h2o2 feeding was with jacks on accident
Second just water and h2o2
Today jacks no h2o2.
It’s a big plant. It takes energy to grow big like that. Sometimes when you think they aren’t doing anything they are. You might not see it.
I sure hope she pulls through with us .
She sure is different lol
