Do fans and all need to be off for hours after spraying micronized sulfur?

I’m spraying micronized sulfur just as part of the safety routine. Everytime I’ve done this I’ve turned off fans and everything for 8 hours but I’m realizing I may have read this online about sulfur burners and mistaken it with micronized sulfur foliar spray. So do I need to turn everything off when doing a micronized sulfur dust foliar spray or just when lights are going off?

@JoeCrowe might be best to comment as he is the ‘sulphur guy’ :+1:

I don’t change any part of my routine, I just spray it. Elemental sulfur is best! Less stink. Lights on or off doesn’t matter the only thing that matters is never apply within 30 days of an oil based application.

@JoeCrowe what is your preferred mixing rate? Gr/gal. And how often are spray applications?
And is sulfur safe to spray at any growth stage? I recently tested dunking clones. They seem fine so far.

Per @JoeCrowe’s instructions, it should be about 57 grams of sulfur if you’re gonna mix up a whole gallon. Apply every two weeks, and you can spray at any growth stage other than flower. :innocent::v:

That you for the response. I recently picked up Microthiol Disperss and was planning on spraying mom/veg room today.

Yah I use tablespoons per liter, and I mix in an entire tablespoon. Make sure you keep shaking it as you spray or else the sulfur could settle out. Never spray in bloom.

Got it. Yes I noticed that and mixed periodically. Thanks again.

Just to clarify- you spray with fans on? Ive been reading as much as I can of your posts and I’m hoping this can solve my problems. My only concern is I grow in an apartment and have pets. If you do reply thank you and huge thanks for all you’ve compiled

Welcome to OG! I have an extraction fan I just keep going 24/7 in the summer, so I never turn it off. There’s no wind in my grow, just a gentle breeze. IF you have a wind tunnel that makes it hard to spray the sulfur water, just turn it off and then spray and turn it on again.

Oh sorry, I missed the pets part. Elemental sulfur is actually non hazardous. The only thing is the stink, and that doesn’t last forever!

Well I’ve attacked the parasite, wish me luck! Thanks again for all your help. My only confusion is everything I can see online says 24 REI. I have the door closed and window open. I’m sure I’m just being a puss. Cheers

Ohhh, well I would wait until the sulfur has dried on there, or else it could get on you and make you stink. The stink is hard to get out if there is some liquid on you. If you are vaporizing sulfur, I would definitely stay outta there until all the sulfur has re crystalized. You definitely don’t want to huff that stuff! That’s probably what they are talking about?
