Do they turn brown too quickly?

Hi guys,
my first box
auto cream candy
lighting:
spectrolight400w + green fox 150w
nuts:
canna flores + canna boost
the plants were planted on December 28, flowering began on January 21. On several tops, the hair turns brown. I’m worried this is happening too quickly, will they be able to swell?!

That’s like 30 days or so which is on schedule for flowering an auto.

You’d be suprised how fast they can stack on weight.

The color of the pistols may just be unique to that strain, but only time I’ve seen them that brown that soon is pollination or light burn.

How close are the lights?

First thought was also pollination or light burn

how can they be pollinated? these are my only plants

Possible hermaphrodite, has both genders… look closely for small yellow flowers.

It could also be light burn, how close are your lights?

what are the negative effects of pollination?
hemophrodite how could this happen? bad seeds?

Lots of ways, usually from some kind of stress.

50cm is a good distance, makes me think pollination somehow.

Pollination means a lower yield, slightly less thc and seeds.

Pros of pollination are seeds, and a broader spectrum of cannabinoids overall.

I know everyone wants seed free weed, personally, I like the effects of seeded ( prefer lightly seeded) weed a bit more.

I feel its a bit more sedative and less “stoney”, like you don’t get the “forget everything” as much, and less munchies. But sometimes I want to get lit and giggly and I want a seedless sativa. Seeded sativa is just more balanced, more functional in my opinion. No seed indica, still relaxed and chill, seeded puts you into a coma.

I learned about this in a lecture by dj short that I attended in detroit around 2011. He hypothesized that a seeded plants starts creating tertiary cannabinoids, once it has been pollinated, instead of thc. Thats why you still get stoned, but its different. I tried it and very much agree.

What else distinguishes the hemophrodite plant?
i have 25 plants which are dense and short spaced, 3 of them stretch out, long stems, can they be haemophrodites? most plants have white pistils, can I save them from pollination?

Look for small dangling yellow flowers near the bottom of buds. Those are your male flowers. It happens sometimes. Light fine mist of water over your buds to deactivate pollen after/if you find your male flowers. You can just pinch them off and continue to grow the plant, but there is a chance of new males flowers forming, so probably just kill them. I generally find them on lower and interior buds when it happens.

Any seeds you find will be very very likely to hermaphrodite, so I just toss them in ditches and along train tracks.

Pistils will also turn brown if you touch them or brush up against them. You aren’t grabbing the buds to sniff them are you?

I’m going to tag along to see what the outcome is. Your lights seem high enough. I do a little lower then 12in. With leds. If it is a hermie issue at least you’ll end up with some fem seeds.

I happened to touch them, so I did an experiment, touched the marked vertices with my fingers, after two days they turned brown.

browning is progressing, half of the peaks are already more or less brown. how to determine the end date?

Your trichomes will go from clear to cloudy to amber. When they start to turn amber your almost done. You will need a jewlers loop to see these. Expect flower times to average around 60 days flower time. Give or take depending on the strain. Sativas tend to take longer then Indicas.
I feel like you need to lighten up on your feeding. How often do you feed and how much?

they get half of what the producer of bio bizz says, I water it every 3 days, every third time with clean water. I chose this when the nut burns appeared
