Doc D cannabis seeds

Cool, thanks! I’ve actually done some research on it since I got those seeds in the mail, but more info never hurts. I dunno when I’ll grow them, but they’ll get grown out at some point, which is more than I can say for a lot of the freebie packs I’ve received over the years.

July 2021 - mailing list

Welcome to July’s mailing list…

If this is your first time receiving this list, thanks for subscribing! I hope this will be a more direct form of communication for those that wish to grow my seeds. I’ll have monthly updates on upcoming projects and information regarding seeds I have available.

My Canadian friends may soon have access to my seeds… I’ve been working with a vendor up north (ig: gotseeds.ca) who will hopefully be a great resource for those looking to run my seeds. Once things are ready to go I’ll make an official announcement through my IG and the email list. Stay Tuned!

What’s happening…

Restock of Bandaid Haze ix 3.0 and Zang! are now available along with new A5 Haze/thai bx pre-release lines… Banana Soap (Ethiopian banana x A5 Haze/thai bx) and Chocolate Blitz (Choco Trip F1 bodhi’s cut x A5 Haze/thai bx) have both passed the latest round of testing and are now available on the regular menu in limited amounts.

Thanks to everyone for their patience… the long-awaited restock of Bananastan (Ethiopian banana x Afkansastan/X18 Pakistani) will finally go down on next month’s mailing list along with another round of new Afkansastan/X18 Pakistani hybrids. I’ve pulled out some new moms that I think will create some harmonious synergy with my afpak male. These will be the last afpak pre-release beans before i retire him and further work the progeny in new hybrids.

Dutch Flowers Lemon Thai reproduction and hybrids are underway. Lemon Thai has always been some of my most memorable smoke… I love the zippy, feel good, life affirming high that gets my mind and body moving. I hope to spread this line far and wide to be sure it’s around for another 10 years. I have 32 individuals that will be searched and used to create this reproduction including stock from Motarebel Lemon Thai F3, Bodhi’s Lemon Thai 35 cut, and two packs of Soopy’s Lemon Thai F4 (via bodhi’s F3’s)… my plants have now all been sexed and are awaiting flower. If all goes as planned you can expect some Lemon Thai on the October mailing list.

up next on deck will be my vintage Sensi Star male that i selected last winter and possibly a few Colombian Black hybrids via older bodhi seeds stock… expect to see some hybrids in late fall early winter…

Have a great month everyone!!

I soooo wanna grab some of those Black Energy seeds, been fighting the urge all morning. Got two packs each of the Outer Limits and the Choco Trip x A5/Thai (which I guess is gonna be called Chocolate Blitz?) already on the way. I also went to update my seed list this morning to add the MDS f2’s that lambchopped sent and as I was scrolling down the spreadsheet, I was just like,”This is fucking ridiculous… Dude! Don’t. Buy. Any. More. Seeds.”

Grabed that chocolate blitz and the mullum/Oaxacan . I was so close to grabbing the all 6 deal.lol

Yeah, I considered that, too haha. But not as much as I considered the Black Triangles. And the “55 seeds of Bandaid deal” haha, even though I already have two packs of that. The Mullumbimby/Oaxacan/A5/Thai cross sounds craaazyyyy. I looked at that for a minute, but since I just got two packs of the Mullum/Oaxacan x AfPak, I figured I’d skip it. I mean, I’m skipping everything, gawddamnit! No more seeds! I might even unsubscribe from Doc’s mailing list!

Just kidding.

Yeah, I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. I really wasn’t too interested in them for a long time, but those pics and the smoke report that advancedbuffalo posted in this thread a while back changed my mind. Still…. I’ve got three straight Black Triangles growing now and like a pack-and-a-half left, so I think I can skip them. I think…

I saw that as well. I have also seen multiple reports in the last week of intersex issues with the Bandaid Haze IX 3.0. I was hoping to work that cultivar into rotation sooner than later after I start back up, but I am apprehensive now. I watch every plant closely for 2-3 runs before I really trust it, but with so many other seeds to grow… I might run the Velvet Buzzsaw or the Dragon Energy. We shall see. Positive vibes…

For sure:

That one is post #466 in this thread and there is one at another forum that I frequent and I feel like I saw one somewhere else in the last few days, but I am old haha. Positive vibes…

Thanks,
I did see the one @MrRevolution posted, his was the first I’d seen with nanners.
I was curious about others…and if the line has serious issues with herms or is a one off.
Appreciate the info, you and me OLD FARTS!!

It’s all good haha. I am old enough to remember back when forums didn’t even have likes haha. I am not a huge fan of linking other forums, but:

Hopefully the link works. Positive vibes…

Yeah, and if you wanted to let someone know that you were, like, following along and were interested, you’d actually have to TYPE A SENTENCE. Gasp! Haha.

Anyway, I’m not worried about the intersex thing. It’s something to be aware of, for sure, and I’ll keep my eyes peeled, but I’m still gonna plant six or eight of those seeds on September 1. I’m too interested in the Bandaid to let a couple reports of nanners deter me. There’s some crosses where, if somebody said they found some male flowers, I might say,”Okay, fuck that,” but the Bandaid isn’t one of them. And if one or two of them develop male flowers and I miss them and shit gets seeded, shit gets seeded.

FWIW I grew 6 BAH IX 3.0 and 2 BAH IX 3.0 F2 females and I only found like one nanner the whole time.

Frankly, I was expecting more given the genetics.

Dude, I just checked out that link. The grower started his seeds on a 12/12 light cycle. I dunno if that had anything to do with the nanners, but I’ve never been a big believer (or even a little believer) in starting seeds at 12/12. It ain’t natural haha. And with a strain that contains Thai genetics, that’re already known to occasionally produce some male flowers… I dunno. But maybe the 12/12 light cycle from seed had something to do with the nanners.

I used to read the Mr. Nice grow logs on Shanti’s site, and people would be like,”These were grown 12/12 from seed. And I had to chop a little early, too. And I tried the weed after a three-day dry and it SUCKS.” Well, yeah, dude. You started them on a 12/12 light cycle, you chopped them early and you smoked it after a three-day dry. Of COURSE it’s gonna suck.

first of all, hah, but second, i think the whole 12/12 from seed thing is based on growing the long flowering equatorial strains which actually are usually germinated naturally under lighting conditions similar to 12/12 (as equatorial areas tend to have more consistent lighting cycles)… the long flowering times also tend to stretch inordinately, so cutting down the vegetation period can keep that in check. i believe this also led to the 11/13 light cycle to induce flowering in types of plants that have equatorial genetics still in their blood, more or less. in fact if you think about it, the only places that get 18+ hours of sunlight are places like alaska where cannabis plants cant really grow outdoors anyways. so technically indoor lighting schedules are more unnatural. The instability of some seed plants versus clone seems to be fairly common, I rarely grow seed plants inside, usually only from clone, but on occasion i have seen staminate flowers (nanners) on a seed plant and none on the subsequent clone of that plant. 2 cents

Yeah, I understand WHY people will start seeds on a 12/12 light schedule, but I wouldn’t do it, no matter the genetics. I do think it’s unlikely that the guy in the link that stanknugz posted found male flowers on his Bandaid Haze because he started on 12/12. I was just drunk yesterday haha.

It just now occurred to me that not everybody follows my grow logs. Planted five Mexican Melon seeds May 1, ended up with two females, flipped a couple days ago, on July 1.

Mexican Melon #1:

The #1 started out with the fattest leaves out of the five Mexican Melons that I planted, thinking she’s more of a Dragon Energy-leaner. But she’s the tallest of the two, 17.5 inches at flip. I’m expecting a pretty huge plant by the time she finishes haha.

And the Mexican Melon #2:

The #2 was growing pretty weird (not in a bad way or anything), just kind of throwing branches wherever. Like there’d be a branch and instead of a branch exactly opposite of it at 180 degrees, there’d be a branch growing at like 100 degrees opposite of it and a half-inch above. If you look closely in the pictures, you can kind of see it. And there’s gonna be three tops, too, because of the uneven growth. Which is fine by me haha.

Anyway, yeah, got a ways to go, but I’m loving the way these look. They’re fucking stinky, too. And not that generic “weed plant in early flower” smell, but a full-on “jar full of nugs”-type smell. Definitely stoked about these.
