Doc D Chocolate Blitz; Freeborn Yesca x Jaro f3; Relic/Professor P/Dynasty Grapefruit f3; and (1) Bodhi Hasplant D

Yeah, that’s always disappointing, but I wasn’t even really talking about that. Or that’s not why I posted that, anyway. I just read some shit yesterday from part of a “breeding team” whose gear I’ve never bought, but have always been interested in and was just like,”Uhhhhh, yeah, I’m not interested anymore…” haha.

Bandaid Haze #7 smoke report.

Looks:

Smell: To me, it smells like the “spicy/plastic” that I’ve decided is just a thing with those A5Thai crosses. The Bandaid Hazes that I grew had it and so do the Chocolate Blitzes. “Spicy/plastic” is so not the right descriptor, but it’s the best way I can put it. I feel like one day somebody’s gonna accurately describe what it is I’m smelling and I’m gonna go,“Ohhhhh… Yes! That’s EXACTLY what it is!” but until then, I’m just going with fucking spicy/plastic haha.

My Perfume Enthusiast friend came over last Saturday night and she had a really difficult time pegging the smell, too. It took her a while to even come up with,“Maybe… Pine-y…? And… sweet…?” She completely disagreed with me about the spicy/plastic thing, but I disagree with her about it smelling either sweet or pine-y, so…

Flavor: Not much. Just tastes like pretty good weed. Nothing mouth-coating and really not much that I can pick up on, but I don’t think anybody’s smoking Bandaid Haze for the flavor anyway haha.

High: I grew four Bandaid Hazes a while back and really loved three of them, so any comparisons I make between this #7 cut and the ones I grew will be in reference to those three plants.

Anyway, I really dig this one. The comeup on it is a little more intense than the ones I grew, but that rush is short-lived, maybe ten minutes max, same as the ones I grew. After that little rush, the #7 settles in very nicely. Totally pleasant and smile-y. The main thing I noticed about this one that I think differs from the ones I grew is that it is EXTREMELY space-y. And really kind of an “in and out” spaciness, too. When I blazed some with that perfume enthusiast friend haha the other night, I found myself getting very quiet for prolonged periods of time, just kind of listening to her and my girl talk, but not really listening at all. There were multiple instances of me not saying a word for like five or ten minutes (or what felt like five or ten minutes) and then kind of snapping back to reality and being like,“What? What’d you just say? What’re y’all talking about again?” haha. And I’d engage for a little while and join the conversation, but then I’d kind of get lost in my own thoughts again.

That in-and-out spaciness lasted for a while, too. Like, I’d think it was over with and then it’d happen again, seemed like it went on for two hours at least, but, again, it’s possible it just felt like two hours.

Another difference is that the ones I grew gave me big-time munchies; the #7 doesn’t. I dunno if that’s a good thing or a bad thing haha. I mean, I like getting the munchies sometimes, but I’m not gonna complain if a specific hybrid doesn’t make me hungry.

And one last thing: the BAH’s I grew completely alleviated any desire I might have to drink. The #7 did not. I haven’t really been drinking very much at all the last week or so, some days I won’t drink anything, actually (yay!), but I had no problem pounding a few White Claws after blazing this one on Saturday night. Again, I dunno if that’s good or bad, but it is something I noticed.

Anyway, yeah, I really like this one, but I think I liked the high on the ones I grew more. The spaciness of the #7 seems like maybe it isn’t the best to be blazing when you’re hanging with people, although I didn’t notice that aspect of it until my friend swung by the other night. It’s great for smoking when I’m just chilling on the couch or whatever. I’m not sure if this is a cut that really needs to shared far and wide, though. Or rather, it seems like it’s pretty easy to find something just as good (if not better) from the BAH seeds. I guess if you don’t have access to those, then yeah, I’d definitely grow the #7 cut. It’s very good. But I do have access to Bandaid Haze seeds, so… haha!

Thank you very much for sending me this sample, though, Mr. Mystery Man haha. I did really enjoy this one.

Well that makes me feel a bit better about losing that one  did you do a review of the Church already or are you planning to?

Yeah, I wouldn’t lose any sleep over that haha. I think if you’ve been subsisting on a steady diet of, like, bullshit weed or maybe just have never smoked anything good, you’d probably be thrilled with that #7 BAH. And it is good weed, very enjoyable, but I don’t think it’s anything super-special.

I will say this, too: that Perfume Enthusiast haha friend of mine didn’t seem to think it was anything too special, either, and she really only smokes when she’s hanging with me. She usually RAVES about whatever she blazes when she comes over, but she seemed a little underwhelmed by that BAH 7. We still had fun hanging out, but yeah, I could tell (and she told me the next day, too) that she didn’t think it was as good as the stuff she usually blazes when we hang.

I haven’t, but yes, I’m definitely planning to. I was actually sent two versions, one grown in coco and one in soil, which, awesome. Looking forward to checking those out.

In other news, I’m gonna start soaking some Wat Pho, Zap, Three Queens and your Cheese/Haze seeds in about an hour, pretty stoked about all of those.

Nice strain selection.

excellent write up on the BAH #7. I’ve got the Black Magic Haze by doc d (cuban black haze x A5/Thai). Do you know how much different that is then the Bandaid haze? Seems like they have the same parents or maybe I am missing something.

You’re Cuban Black Haze x A5/Thai pack i believe is missing the ‘bx’ moniker, that pack is almost a remake of bandaid haze itself. it should most definitely be cbh x a5/thai bx.

Bandaid Haze is Cuban Black Haze x A5/“Thai” aka Mirakel, that no one can verify is actually Thai at all.

What Holy said.

I do think, though, that bx’ing it the way Doc did made a difference. And I only say that because Doc mentioned that the straight Cuban Black Haze has a relatively heavy comedown, which I’ve also read from other people who’ve grown it.

I mentioned the three BAH’s that I grew that I really loved, but the fourth one was, I think, a CBH leaner. She looked like she wanted to go at least 100 days (got chopped on day 76, though, along with everything else, because I got aphids). Despite the fact that she got chopped way early, I would always pass out about an hour after blazing her, which is not something I really ever enjoy and not something that would happen with the other BAH’s I grew (or that #7, either).

I have a couple packs of that CBH x A5Thai, but I’m not sure when I’m gonna plant some. My hope is that crossing it to the A5Thai (Mirakel, whatever) will produce plants that smoke a little more… Not up, necessarily, but at least not so heavy on the comedown. You should plant some of those and let us know haha!

excellent thanks.

I’m with you on that. I don’t want herb that puts me out unless I am using it for sleep. I don’t like the heavy comedowns.

I have them planned for my next run. I’m probably going to pop some at the end of the month.

Yeah that CBH boggles my mind the more I hear about it. A5/Mirakel too. I can’t imagine why anyone would call something with a heavy come down like that, ‘haze’… Talk about false advertisement :see_no_evil: Nothing called haze should make you fall asleep or “have a heavy comedown”. No description of haze has ever had that in there prior. And even if it was a thing, you can find a ton of stuff that would put ya to sleep like that in ~half the flowering time so why bother? I feel like that CBH is pure marketing…

I think it was initially called CBH because it was found in a pack of NL5Haze years ago or there was speculation that it was some sort of NL5Haze pheno or something, I dunno. That’s what I’ve read, anyway, but who knows if that’s true? In addition to the heavy comedown, it supposedly yields huge, which doesn’t sound like any Haze that I’ve ever heard about haha.

Haha, right? I’m still gonna plant some of those CBH x A5T seeds at some point, though, just to see what’s what.

Sweet! I think I’m already following your log, so I’ll be there for that for sure.

NL5Haze’s can definitely yield huge bro, some of the heaviest yields you’ll find from any line.

But NL5 itself doesn’t usually give any sort of heavy comedown. So even if it did come from a NL5Haze bag, it sounds like they picked the most NL leaning flower they could find out of the beans…

Oh, yeah? I’ve never grown it, so I really have no idea. Good to know, though.

Possibly, but then how could the 120+ day flower time be explained? Haha.

There’s actually a pretty decent CBH thread on the Mr. Nice forums, but for some reason I haven’t been able to log on there in a couple years. Or, I mean, the last time I tried to log on a couple years ago, I couldn’t. So I gave up haha.

Joy of F1 hybrids right? Long haze flowering time, with NL effects. From people that think messing them up = potent.

Exactly NL5 is that long smooth giggly buzz that just dissipates into nothing. Loved that stuff for many years, even spent big bucks on a cut that was not her way back…. It’s actually what stopped my cut obsession for years. Not a haze fan since I acquired this ridiculous anxiety but I smoked many in my day and used to enjoy the buzz so much! I’m jealous you guys can still partake if need to eat a lorazapem or something which would defeat the purpose 100% for me. But I live vicariously through you guys regardless

That last pic is unreal!

Yeah, I’ve seen tons of Haze pics that looked like that. I just always assumed that those flowers were relatively “airy,” so, despite the hugeness of them, they probably still didn’t weigh too much.

Haha.

For some reason, the longer-flowering stuff doesn’t exacerbate my anxiety. It’s really only the “Indicas” and the stuff that hits me instantly that induce panic attacks. Anything that takes like 20-40 minutes to fully come on is perfectly fine for me, even if I am just baaaaaaaked after those fourty minutes haha.

I may need to revisit some old favs, been a long while since I tried, but after a few bad ones I was done. Just switched. Been exploring more hybrids lately and not so heavy stuff. As I age it really reacts differently and I’m starting to enjoy stuff I never did so maybe ?

Some of it can be airy but some of it can be dense too. My c5sensistar girl will yield 4 ounces easy at 2ft tall with 4 branches.
