Does anyone use the "inline" type carbon filters?

It would seem that they’d be alot more versatile. Mounting outside the tent would eliminate alot of issues with running out of height.
I’m wondering why I never see them used.

I use carbon filters all the time they live outside the tent when I used a tent

I hang mine from the ceiling

I use the 8 in in-line ac infinity very happy except for the price
