you do realize that the book of revelations was written about the times of nero, and not meant as a prophecy for us, right? it’s a common misconception among christians and has been compounded by the ignorance of most of them throughout the centuries since the 1700s. we know a lot more now than we ever did about the bible. the only reason revelations was included was that it had the strongest case for the trinity as we understand it now (catholics anyway).

One of the happiest experiences I’ve ever had was in the worst most despicable environment.
I was soaked in sweat, carrying cases of beer as a barback, in a meth riddled town, didn’t really like my coworkers much, being taken advantage of by the boss through lies of promotion, depressed af with no where to turn…
I had been studying the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. Everytime I was reading the book I felt a little better, Eckhart says in the book his writing style is designed to spurn “awakening” in of itself, so I attribute that to why I was re-reading it so much. I kept applying what I read in bits, and over a month I didn’t really notice any huge changes then it happened…
My mind went still. It’s like my past and future disappeared in that instant, something that most can’t even fathom because it’s a DEEP change. You don’t realize how much you are in the past/future until you REALLY let it go.
It was remarkable. I’m anti social and a little autistic and I found myself going up to coworkers and smiling at them with earnestness. I was enjoying their presence. I felt love in all directions like it was infinite. I went up to the hippy chick thinking she’d understand what was occurring to me so I told her “I’m centered!” Which didn’t make any sense to her. I felt the most authentic me I’ve ever felt didn’t even know it was possible.
Then I had a fear thought show up: What if this goes away and I go back to normal? I tried to solve the thought, push it away even but I succumbed to the belief/thought and it pulled me back down into normal perspective.
It only takes believing a single fear to fall from Heaven back to Earth.
