I fixed it for you. First comes the number, then the dot/period, then a space, the last would be your user name. Example @name.
The problem you had was the order of the number, dot, space and name. The dot was after the space and not the number.
Proper order is Number, Dot, Space, and then @name.
A very helpful hint. Save your user name in a file or folder where you can copy it. @name. Now when it comes time to edit the post to add your name, just copy it from your file or folder location. Then refresh the page your on as one could have edited, or be editing the list while you were copying your name from your file or folder.
Then hit the edit button. Make sure there is the proper order of number, dot/period, space, and then your name, @name.
Then to be courteous to the next one to add their name to the list, hit the enter button once after you’ve added your name to the list.
This will allow the next person to have a number, followed by a
dot/period, and then a space, all ready to go, allowing the next entrant a place to add their name with out having to add the
number, dot, space, and then name. This is the best way I’ve found to enter these with much less discarding and editing again to fix errors.
This is because the prior entrant finished with the number, dot, space and then finally the name. I always hit the enter button after all of this to make it easy for the next entrant. This method of copy and pasting ones name to the list a matter of a second or two at most before exiting the edit. This in and out quickly will avoid the mix ups of staying in the edit mode for too long.
Spending too much time in the edit mode only gives others that are not aware that only one person can edit a wiki at a time a quick in and out by pasting ones name to the list can help a lot in avoiding errors with more than one person at a time trying to
edit/ add ones name to the list.
It has been said that if one gets an error message when trying to add ones name to the list that one should cancel/discard the edit one is trying to make. After discarding, one should REFRESH the page before trying to edit the post again to add ones name.
Copy and Paste are your friends. Use them. I hope this helps those that are having problems entering a wiki in a timely manner.
