If anyone wants to take a look i can post a link if dougs okay with it. Its really crazy they were noticing traits of domestication in 1920s already. Now 100 years later and its even harder to find truly pure wild strains

When I see pics of what bananas used to look like …some tomfoolery is good. Flip side, the Cavendish banana will go extinct if not constantly cultivated using modern techniques.
And now I want some banana milk

Yeah they are working one the next one I have read, since a single pathogen could wipe them out worldwide.
Probably gotta be a gmo though since they did about all they can w selective breeding already

I didn’t know there were that still many cultivars around. That’s awesome.
Plantains are the only ones I’ve had other than the Cavendish, that I can recall anyway. The Blue bananas do look cool

The type is quite hard you can only eat it after roasting but it was sooo amazing taste
