I’m right there with ya bud.
I miss my S×S.
Sold it to pay for a baby. RZR XP1000. I hate debt, and I owned it. So, I sold it and turned around and gave it to the hospital, lol.
Eh, I’ll get it back someday.
This beautiful child was worth it. :slightly_smiling_face:

Honestly idk how people can have a child at the hospital without insurance. I looked at all the costs before the insurance adjustments. It was effing 30k! Our coverages brought it down to about 11.

Both mine were born at home. Of course, a very experienced naturopath with hospital privileges was there too.

I’ll share a story and try and be as brief as is possible for me.

About 3 years ago I read a story written by a young journalist in California.

A young single woman living in San Diego was expecting a baby. She was out of work, her boyfriend had aboadoned her and she was living back at home with her mom.

A second woman also living in San Diego who had illegally crossed over the border was also pregnant. Both went into the same hospital within a few days of each other.

The single mom from the US living with her mom was billed a total of $23,870 while the woman from Mexico who had crossed the border to have her baby was charged nothing and given transportation back to her hometown in Mexico.

Yup, heard stories like this many times.

That’s crazy, truly. I too once ended up in a Buffalo hospital, after returning home , a few weeks later I had a 26 thousand, yes THOUSAND dollar bill in the mail ! Insane, the ambulance ride alone was like 3000$ , had a cat scan, mri, hell the Tylenol were a few hundred each, I was absolutely dumbfounded to see the breakdown. I didn’t go back to the US for ten years after that and even then was worried they were gonna detain me asking for 26 G’s :man_facepalming:t2: I truly feel for those of us not blessed with “free” healthcare, I’ll fully admit our system especially around Niagara has been heading downwards for 20 years and imho is at an all time low right now, so much so I know at least a dozen people personally who absolutely fear having to go to the ER etc. And atm we have an absolute influx of refugees, so much so if you go to ANY walk in clinic , at ANY time they are lined up, literally 8am they start lining up (open at 9) and it’s like that until 4:30pm (last call) my wife runs a store that is also a pharmacy here so she sees it first hand daily, and even there without a doctor it’s always packed at the pharmacy counter. :man_facepalming:t2:

Just read on Reddit lady had normal no issues birth got the bill. 150k seriously in hospital less than 48 hrs
@LoveDaAutos that’s strange CA used to give illegals and their babies citizenship as well. Which sets them up for Medicaid, food stamps, housing and all the other benefits that citizens fight to get. So what really is going on?

Yeah when my wife was in recovery after the cesarean, the doc/nurse was like “here’s the prescription. You can fill on downstairs at our pharmacy. But don’t take them. Only take the ones we give you.” Eff that. I’m not paying y’all $47 for an IBU 800, when I can get this whole bottle for $3! Literally…I looked at the bills later.

Absolutely ludicrous, it’s like a university bill! Sticks with you and can ruin your life for you also, oh you just had a previous new baby boy! Enjoy your 150 thousand dollar debt you will carry the rest of your life. :man_facepalming:t2: it’s unreal

Exactly, see you know. What they charged me for Tylenol I could buy a lifetime supply for my household. Easily :man_facepalming:t2: idk how they can allow them to do that/charge that? What a world :man_facepalming:t2:
