Umm, a Mac Address on a network interface device can be spoofed, correct. However, I stand by my statement that the MAC Address on a Network Interface Card, (NIC Card) is hard coded and cannot be changed.
Drivers may allow you to change one, but not the other.
I could be wrong, but when I was in MCP class before I went to MCSE, which was eons ago, I remembered that specifically being a thing. Never did get that MCSE. But did get CompTia A+, Network+ certifications, and MCP and MCSE training.
Lastly…
The work around to this can only be achieved by replacing the NIC Card, something hackers used to have a couple extra laying around…
