I couldn’t imagine just jumping in with all of the new technology now. Haha. They were starting to bring the fancy POS systems for restaurants when I was still serving. They sucked. Haha

I think another couple days and I’ll be able to navigate it. The farm retail is limited to farm products, so a much smaller product list than a dispensary.
It’s a good thing to learn though, at a minimum I would be familiar with it

That is definitely true. I’ve spent decades with a very small social network. I definitely feel like I’ve missed out on a bunch of things because of my choices. You can’t hangout with people for a long time, without them realizing you’re not being truthful about what you’re doing. I really kept to myself

No just had a chance to learn so I took it. I’m a temporary hire and we both know that once the season starts I’m going to be to busy. I’m letting them figure out some staffing needs without hiring anyone they might have to let go

Only way to ever beat a system is to learn the ins and outs. Like I hate big corporations and stuff, but the structure is easy and you can make a good living working the corporate system.
But there’s a few times i have told my boss the only reason o came back to corporate was cause it’s easier to get financing with a corporate job vs self employed.

Some of the systems may help the farm side, knowing both sides of the system.

I’ve known the one owner since 7th grade

She’s cool as shit and doing great. They chose to do personal interaction with customers over the tablet ordering thing. I believe they made the right choice.
Even if the farm hits it out of the park each harvest, we can only realistically expect to be in about 4-5 dispensaries out of the 300+ so far in the state.
