Emerging Science of Geoengineering

Greetings everyone! Starting this topic as a way to share information and discuss current and past geoengineering techniques and events for climate change mitigation. :sun_behind_small_cloud::hot_face:

With the advancement of warmer climate and rising greenhiuse gases, there have been a collective effort to bring forth new technologies including, but not limited to, stratospheric aerosol injections.

I trust that as a community we can talk about emerging sciences in a thoughtful manner, bringing enlightenment to the reader and have a genuine conversation.

If you have oppositions to this view or science, you may express them but troll posts will not be tolerated. The site owner has expressed in post OG does not use conspiracies but uses solid science to share information.

Thanks for being here :sunny:

As part of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6), the Detection and Attribution Model Intercomparison Project (DAMIP) has been conducted to estimate the individual contributions of various external forcings to the observed global and regional climate changes. The experimental design includes historical and future simulations forced with GHG-only, aerosols-only, stratospheric-ozone-only, and natural-only forcing.

Welsbach seeding is based on the principle of increasing the Earth’s albedo by introducing reflective materials into the upper atmosphere. These materials, often in the form of fine aerosols such as aluminum oxide or titanium dioxide, scatter and reflect incoming solar radiation back into space. This process reduces the amount of heat reaching the Earth’s surface, potentially cooling the planet.

Thread closed pending review by @LemonadeJoe as he did warn yesterday to avoid these types of topics.
The reason being, is that we try to minimize inherently controversial topics.
The acrimony which arises from disagreements often seeps into the general forum, thereby disrupting the primary reason we are here.

We are really trying to Overgrow the entire World.
