Most will think I have no room to talk and I agree, hence why I have not posted in here. Yet it seems this topic should just be deleted now, everyone gets the problems and potential issues or concerns going on, but now it has mainly turned into the āwatercoolerā of people waking up grumpy to bark at others and it is to the point its causing more problems than its solving.
Most productive thing may be to prompt mods or powers that be to make some format changes like the ability to add a trust level option when starting a thread, along with sectioning the main page a little bit to reflect the sections of those trust levels. Iām sure most people would leave it on open and not lock it down to a trust level, but may be an easy way to gatekeep things like seed runs, buys, auctions or what ever anyone feels there needs to be a bar to entry on to make them feel better. It may even make some more recluse members feel comfortable about actually posting their grows and more information they have been holding back because of them not feeling safe enough to pose something the whole internet can easily find and see. Give seeds or donāt give seeds, join a seed run/auction etc or donāt join one since its personal choice/risk in the end.
There are just more constructive ways to proceed from here instead of people continuing to bark at each other and starting the mute train like I have seen for days. Love you all and just want everyone to be happy and feel safe along with the site finding a way to move forward in a productive manner to help everyone continue to feel comfortable, happy and involved. Just my 2 cent, please donāt burn me at the stake

Indeed. There is always some sort of easy solution to mitigate these type of issues. I just donāt like to see things spiral out of hand and start to burn bridges between people when it is not needed one bit.

We did just get that big server upgrade. Things like that might be doable. I know very little about IT though.

Real quickly. True, there are not a lot of longtime members weighing in, possibly, because their bailing due to whatās going on. That is a shame and a HUGE loss to all of us new members. Are you trying to say that members like myself shouldnāt recognize that the site isnāt as community minded as the oldtimers tell us it was, or try to make an effort to return it to that state?
Iām one that disagrees with the direction this country is headed. I explain to my Grandchildren how the changes are destructive to the country. Should they not recognize that and attempt to rectify the problem and restore the good that was lost?
But because they werenāt alive back then, they should keep quiteā¦ No.
I apologize profusely for even bringing up political points on here but thatās the first analogy that came to mind.
Iāll never make a habit of that.

The thread has already had itās intended affect. All you have to do to see that is look at the number of new posts and the change in behaviour exhibited in the free seeds thread.
