bro. Iām doing this run the easy way with as little input as I can give them. Unsure if I should run coco fully OR just use a decent organic compost. With compost I donāt have to adjust PH or even feed them for the first few weeks.
When they do eventually need feeding Iāve got a big solid rock of Megacrop Iām gonna soak in some warm water to help it desolve then fill a few old bottles up with for storage.
I would stick with the coco, amend with some organic compost and perlite. I use the same mix 1/3 each indoor or out. Hit it with dolomite lime powder 1/2 TBS per gallon
Iāve done a coco/compost mix in the past but I ran into PH issues later into flower that had me running around in circles. Itās either one or the other. Iāve got a week or two to decide soā¦
Thatās why I top feed another bit of powdered dolomite lime around 2-3 weeks bloom Smart ditching the RWC for the auto pots Just run coco and perlite 70/30
Iāve had some awesome results in my rdwc in the past but itās more work than Id like keeping the environment stable. Iām not one of these people that checks their plants constantly so a PH swing can often go unnoticed for several days.
Iāll run coco but will also buy some dolomite lime to have around ājust incaseā.
Cheers for your input @ColeLennon.
I would chisel that mega crop rock so you can at least measure it. Iām going to their A&B and Sweet Candy ditching foxfarm grow and big bloom I pull it out 60-70 grams at a time in a slider zip lock keeps the rest stable in the big bag
Iāve got a milwaukee e.c meter thatās never failed me yet mate. Iāll just make an extra strong mix up with warm water then bottle it and use the meter to keep me in a safe range.
Iām likely getting ahead of myself as the seeds arenāt above ground yet
There ya go
I have been avoiding stardawg cause everyone grows it but im gonna be watching cause as you say it does sell well. Aint a bad price for the seeds you grown these before?
No mate. I normally avoid stardawg as it makes me hear stiff
Watch this space
Give in to the dark side & use as much perlite as possible IMO. Yeah itās a bit of a crutch but itās pH neutral & plants love it. Itās cheap, lightens them, isnāt too mean to the environment (silica isnāt peat)ā¦
Twins
My luck must be in as one of the stardawg seeds didnāt germinate. Managed to seperate the twins and put them in seperate pots.
Needless to say Iāve put 2 lines on the euro lottery
Tried the soba noodles spicy version? That is how far i have fallen with the ability to quarter fill my kettle . I could use them as pots instead of buying new pots when i run out
Them up the right hand side are autos bro. I figure Iād make use of the 18 hours of light while I veg the photos out. I think the stardawg are gonna be slow growers in veg. Iām gonna leave them in the small pots as long as I can before transplanting them into 18l autopots.
After the shitty blueberry twist Ive got to make up for the lost yield
Right on brother looking forward to the grow
Cheers @ColeLennon. If you scroll up my thread to a few years back you can see exactly what Iām capable of when I set my mind to it. My problem is I canāt find the time to run the rdwc system properly and my plants suffer. Iām back to my autopots now BUT with pots more than 2x the size I used to run so Iām hoping this grow will be my most epic growing achievement yet.
You got epic grows on this thread brother. Donāt let the twisted strain get you down.
Quick check on the seedlings. One of the stardawg is a tri leaf.
Another week or so and Iāll be able to transplant them into the autopots.
They are moving now brother
Slowly bro.
Iām a bit unsure about the seedstock/breeder though if Iām honest. One set of twins from a single seed and now a tri leaf from the same batch.
Iām hoping stability isnāt an issue later into the grow.
