Everyday Haze Grow

I find it interesting the difference in the twins T1 and T2. Besides a height difference of over 5 inches. The structure of the plants differ a lot too in my opinion.

T1 is 29 inches, much bushier at the base. Thicker stalk all the way up. Different structure.

T2 is 35.5 inches. Narrower stalk. Not bushy, more sativa leaning then it’s twin.

Another big development. Plant number 4 had a big surprise for me this morning. She is a he…lol

He is throwing nuts everywhere lol. So 10 out of 11 were females. @lefthandseeds. What do you think of this male? How does he compare to the parents? Male you are keeping?

I think the thinner stalk phenos will be more like PH. Also, one thing that I notice is that phenos leaning toward the malawi/panama have straighter branches and more apical dominance, while things that will be more like PH should have longer branches with more curvature, causing a more full look.

I’m glad you did get a male XD. Looks good so far. I’d say that one has shorter internodes than the one I have, but it’s a little hard to tell with the topping. It looks like a PH pheno to me.

This is a fairly PH leaning male, getting close to dropping pollen. It’s about 5.5 feet from the ground I’d guess, completely untopped and untrained.

Man I want to grow a shorter haze so bad. Those tall plants look beautiful but I just don’t have the height needed.

That is a big boy you have. Mine topped is about 3 feet.

Panama Haze / everyday haze is probably not the one for you. There might be some short phenos in there, but height on most will be on the tall side compared to hybrids/indicas.

The first time I grew it, I topped it and pulled the mains around a tomato cage. That might have kept it to about 4ft.

But if you really want to find something short, I have another line with some similar ace genetics where I found a fruity/hazy female that was really short (I call it mini haze). It’s Neville’s haze/Malawi x Malawi/Panama, and I portioned off F2 seeds from it.

What I really liked about this one is that it was just such an uncharacteristic plant. As you can see, it has pretty sativa structured bud, with nice large haze calyxes and good resin. But it grew on a 3ft frame. Wish I had taken a lot more pictures of it, but I do have F2s seeds to search. I’d like to hunt a good shorty from the F2s and BX it. Ah, project ideas…

Do you feel topping would change the expression?

Damn tall lanky hazy…lol. I love haze but it just doesn’t fit the way my room is built. My height is about 6 ft but with a 6" fan , huge filter and light i lose space.
I’m pretty good at training them down but fear a haze would still out grow my space

I took some cuts of my PH a couple weeks back. As the male EDH starts to drop the pollen, I will have these chasing along behind it in a few more weeks to make the BX2s.

what are you using to hold that seedling? looks very scientific

Those are just some ceramic tip tweezers. Once you’ve used them, you’ll never buy metal tipped tweezers again! You can find them all over amazon.

So I have 4 clones rooted and vegging now. My EDH male is now almost floor to ceiling. I’m happy, because this is definitely a PH pheno, no question. So this should be great pollen for making BX2s. He looks so much like the mom already. He’s being underfed because I have a bunch of younger plants on the same res. But he’s a sativa, so he’s handling it pretty well.

He could dump a lot more pollen still, but I think I’m going to chop him today before it gets messy.

The Everyday Haze is in the 28th day since the flip. There is a 10 inch difference between these 7 plants.

EDH #1 has nearly doubled since the flip going from 17.5 inches 28 days ago to 34.5 inches now. Her growth has been pretty consistent with the other plants from this strain in the tent overall, however it has only grown 4.5 inches in 17 days. There was some visible stretch between the nodes near the top. The bottom still has tighter, bushier growth.

EDH #5 has also nearly doubled since the flip going from 18 inches to 35.5 inches. That is also a 11.5 inch gain in 17 days. It is one of the biggest gains over that time period. Much more spacing between the top nodes then the bottom. A side note is #5 has 2 nice clones from it too.

EDH #6 added 17 inches since the flip and 13 inches in the last 17 days. It has had a couple growth spurts and slowdowns. It has gone from one of the tallest plants, to one of the shortest, to now just being in the middle. The structure of this plant made me identify it as a keeper. She has produced the 2 nicest clones of all taken and are out growing the others.

EDH #7 is still the tallest plant of the grow at 42 inches gaining 18 inches since the flip. 17 days ago, it was the tallest plant by 7 inches at 32.5 inches, now it is by 1/2 inch.

EDH #T1 is 32 inches tall and the shortest of the group. It has more then doubled since the flip gaining 17 inches. It is 9.5 inches smaller than its twin.

EDH #T2 has shown the most growth since the flip adding 22.5 inches going from 19 inches to 41.5 inches. It was the second tallest plant but was over 5 inches shorter. Now it is only 1/2 inch shorter.

EDH #T3 is the tightest, slimmest of all the plants. It has added 20 inches since the flip, that is the second largest amount, going from 16.5 inches to 36.5 inches.

This Blue Dream is in the tent with the rest of the plants, so I just added it this time. It is 25 inches tall and very bushy. This is one of Mark’s from Strainly.

Nice update bro. Everything looks super happy!

Not bad on height so far. I really like the tallest one (#7). T1 has some great branching too, really nice for the compact frame. #5 seems like it might be a strong haze leaner along with #6, lagging behind in the flower development, very narrow leaves and high branching. I bet those will finish last.

those are all looking nice, and the Blue Dream from Mark looks pretty nice too

Just now seeing this thread. Very nice! I’m gonna follow along.

I’ve got some PH cuts rooted (right side) for making the BX2s and maybe a pollen chuck or two. Also, 2/3 EDH cuts have rooted out of flower. Side by side you can see that they’re pretty similar looking. I think the PH phenos are definitely there, and I’m feeling optimistic that my selections will make a high prevalence of them in BX2.

The PH cuts have already grow some new foliage. I think it might take a big longer for the EDH since it was a few weeks in flower.

Looks like the pollen I was able to salvage from my EDH male took.

This Hawiian Haze flowered by week four and acts like an auto. 25 percent of the seeds I planted did this. Should be an interesting cross if they are viable.
