I usually feed till I see a tiny bit of tip burn. Then back it off a tiny bit. I can’t remember what strain it was I was growing a while back but it did fine with 2500ppm going in 
bitch was hungry. It’s not so much a guessing game. It’s a listening game 
just listening with your eyes
