Family Blues V3

Ok I’m documenting my first grow journal, this is my 20th year growing. I think I will get some satisfaction in being able to share the plant I love growing so much, my passion and love for the plant has never been stronger and I want to share a bit of that with folks that share the same passion and love of growing. I’ll catch things up to the current status as I’m a quite a few weeks in now.

Good luck with grow. Good choice in Blue Star. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his products.

Yeah I have a blueberry lemon shakeup, couple Star Dream I just recently started for another tent. I’ve tried to start the Flo Star on 4 different occasions, just one seed at a time and either the seed didn’t pop, or the two that did never grew and stayed stunted and just immediately petered out. I don’t know what to chalk it up to yet, maybe just bad luck. I think I have one left from a pack of four I bought that actually came with 6 in the pack All the rest I’ve tried have done great and had no problems. I was really wanting to get the Flo star started. I’ll have to come back to it later in the year and see if I can get the last one to go.

Quick update, looking healthy and seems to enjoy its new larger pot and has had time to spread it roots about and is now starting to hit its stride ready for a bit of training. Hoping to be ready to flower in about 3 weeks, but we will see it could be longer. Whenever it fills out the tent to my liking it will be time.

Look like I’ll probably clean this girl up, lollipop maybe give a couple days to recover and a flip to flower as the tent is like 75% full I don’t think prolonging the growth will do much more for me at this point. It has 16 main and mostly even tops. I’ll update when I clean her up in a few days.

Filling out a little slow but coming along none the less. Some of the lower leaves are yellowing and falling away already. Seems a bit early to me everyday lately at least two leaves at the bottom of each stem yellow and shrivel up. Hopefully that slows down a bit. I’d also like to see some size start coming on. Ahead we go

Nice grow i wouldnt worry too much about those leaves underneath. Unless it starts progressing, you could always ask Josh blue hes on here couple times a week. Nice to see another blueberry fan.

Well I’m ready to chop, I seemed to have a bit of issues with this one, it never seemed to explode in growth. Not sure if it was my fault or what, but I don’t think it was super happy. Reminds me of the only other time I grew an actual blueberry plant, it seemed to struggled. I remember being very underwhelmed with that. It doesn’t look like a modern type plant. It really yellowed up at the last 4 weeks. It does look very pretty against the bluish hued buds and it does have a very pleasant smell. I grew this one because it was said that the effects were the best quality of this plant which really peeked my interest. I want to get back to the effects as the number 1 priority when growing a plant. I need that sublime high in my life. I have some other Bluestar plants I’m growing that are absolutely killing it right now. Star dream and Blueberry lemon shakeup are straight hogs. Big fat massive buds with a more sativa looking leaves, they all smell so dang good too. I’m glad this wasn’t the only thing I grew of Bluestars, off first impressions. I’ll update when the buds are dry and a smoke report in a few weeks.

Maybe couldn’t pull up enough available nutes from the soil mix during flower. Shouldn’t have been an issue in a 30 gallon bag I wouldn’t think! Not enough amendments perhaps? Are you going to try her again someday?

Blueberry hues coming through is still badass :+1:

Thanks for sharing your grow of my gear. Sorry she didn’t turn out for ya with those health issues. That early lower yellow leaf drop usually tells me the roots arent happy and nutrient uptake may be a problem. Thats what it looks like afte reviewing your thread a couple times. At first i thought maybe a little to low N for your soil, funny considering this is blueberry hybrid, usually known to have N sensitivity. But this being a hybrid, those lower vigor and other ibl issues don’t tend to show up. Not sure why, but roots stalling out looks like the issue with lack of bud development. At first with leds, I was gonna suggest a slightly higher temp, but after seeing good 14 day flower development I thought it was working out for ya. You can notice the signs of a little mg def in the 14 day pics already too. 2 weeks later, bud development wasn’t on point like it should be, and the leaf drop started. Well I hope you had great grows with your other varieties. How did the star dream and blsu turn out for ya?

Pot too big possibly and roots didnt fill is my guess. Or the plant wasnt taking up nutes who knows. Happened to me earlier this year with leaves dropping off everywhere. Eitherway you got some smoke right. Others doing good?
