Fan Cycle Same as Lights?

Curious what others are doing. I have my tent circulating fan running and venting out the top and run that 24 hrs. I have the pole clip 6 inch movement fan on the same cycle as my lights. Got to thinking the girls might like that air movement 24 hrs a day. What are you as all doing!

It depends on your environmental conditions, I would run with light cycle the top fan, it helps with lamps heat, I also have a pole fan but I have programmed it to function some minutes every hour the whole 24 hours with a smart wifi plug to fight humidity and stagnant air.

I wouldn’t have non stop running a fan, last time I did that it burnt at night and I was lucky that the whole house were not in flames … :see_no_evil:

Fans and exhaust on 24/7 man unless I’m removing plants or cleaning tent for an extended period. Just one of those things in order to control the environment unless you are in open space with central air or heating

Fans should be on all the time, however, IMO you could cycle them to turn off for parts of the lights-on period to help generate heat and/or increase RH. Not generally recommended to turn off plant’s fans, though.

Yeah good point man when I’m running my bar LED in the colder months sometimes turn off the over fan periodically to raise temperature. It still feels slightly uncomfortable compared to hid and the heat they put off just a different style of growing under modern lighting with pretty much no heat output.

My fans are either on or off. No fancy digital programming. But I did just unplug the pole fan from the timer and plugged it into the strip. I think it’s best to keep the air moving all day, especially in late flower. They’re good quality fans so I don’t expect fire hazard. Thanks

24/7 but there are environmental factors that could influence this for some. But 24/7 for me.

Exhaust fans are based on temp/humidity. Circulation fans are on 45 min off 15. :+1::seedling:

I’m a fan/exhaust 24/7 grower myself because of the problems that came up before I was a 24/7 fan/exhaust on grower.

Same here, exhaust, and the fans in my flowering areas, run 24/7.

I run my fans 24 hours a day
Inbound fan is on 24/7 and exhaust fan ran 24/7 as well :+1::+1:

Yeah man back in the day for some reason I cut off the circulation fans at night thinking the cooler weather would negate the situation but nope just asking for mold. Most of the time I use grow tents but old house could grow in an open room and get away with more there bc of central air and heating

My exhaust fans sometimes do turn themselves off as they are automated. But the interior air movement fans never stop so there’s never a dead-air spot even if there no active venting.

I use two 6" oscillating fans blowing over the canopy 24/7 and use the exhaust fan periodically on a timer which I adjust to suit climate needs.
