Ive bought 2 cuts from the Man. Chem D and 91. Great old school high. Clones arrived soon after order, expertly packed and clean. $100 is more than reasonable. Put the cuts in soil outside and they fried. Hit up FJ to find out how soon replacements could be ready cuz it was July iirc. A week later i told him Id ride it out cuz couldn’t really afford another $200. He said he’d only charge shipping for the replacements. This impressed me because I fd up not him. Customer service is important to my $'s.
Seeds are great but might not be the best way for beginners to judge grow skills. Too many maybes. Maybe male, maybe herm, maybe mids…But with a verified cut there’s a clear expectation.
I learned about him here on OG, the best site going. If you’ve had dealings with FJ420 please share your experiences positive or negative.
Ive ordered through him multiple times over the years and known him on forums for well over a decade. Hes usually got good healthy cuts, last order sent me a cut that he cloned a clone off of right before sending and ended up dying within couple days. His skunktek Sour d was close as far as appearance but was lackluster, believed its now discontinued. Irene and Bubba were cool but not keepers for me. TK was alright but not the best cut of it in my opinion. Hes a good option for the price unless your willing to spend $ or have solid connections.
Sorry man but I completely disagree with your sentiment ab beginners using clones instead of from seed… obviously there are feminized which I use along with occasional regs but starting from germination to seedling and building up a plant is super useful and important for learning basic gardening. Clones are helpful when you need to acquire a certain genetic that maybe difficult to locate but they can be finicky since essentially travelling in the mail from one environment to the next. Good to hear you’ve found a nice company for clones though bc I’ve heard of outrageous prices for a single snip from other vendors.
Just all comes down to preferences. What is easy for me may be difficult or inconvenient for you. What a great time to be a new grower though. 10 +years ago, these options did not exist. Over priced seeds , mainly from overseas, were the only choice unless you knew someone who would hook you up with clones
It depends on what you’re looking for, i’m personally scared to take in cuts these days unless i know the person. Joe’s a good option, All Star, First Class Genetics, few people on ig i cant think off top of my head. I used to go to Green Dragon in Hollywood, Tahoe Wellness in Tahoe, couple shops in Bay Area. Theres a few clone nurseries out here in Cali that show up to events with cuts. Then there’s more and more breeders that have been releasing their cuts as of recently. But some of the best cuts i’ve recieved have come from friends whether its in person or ig/forums. Was just gifted Diesel, Topanga Canyon Pure Kush, G13, and Zushi. @GingerJogger79
Nice score on those cuts, been looking for a few of those myself. Def wanna grow some TCPK at some point and G13…have only heard stories about that one.
Something I strongly consider is do they test for diseases. If you can’t show me test results , showing you actually tested your mother stock, that’s a red flag for me
It was definitely different from a hippy slayer cut I got , but it’s loud as hell. Having said that, I’m by no means saying it was not hippy slayer or fake. The other cut I got could easily be mislabeled as many cuts often are. I don’t have pics of it in unfortunately. On FJ’s, the high was uplifting and friends really enjoyed it. It stunk up the room when I opened up the tent.
