👨🏽‍🌾 Farmer Pigeonman (OR): How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Indoor Growing (Part 1)

Thats an incredible menu of beanage, right there.

By the way. Good trade. I didnt think they would get there that quick.

Cuts! They are cuts which makes this even more INSANE.

The beans listed are also insane; but holy shit did I ever make a good decision to make an order with Scally!!!

I’m pretty sure that I just came up with an idea. You, being as amazing as you are, took it another 10 levels. I would be embarrassed to send you any of mine now, to compare. I do believe that I am enjoying your journey as much as you are. Thanks for sharing.
As for the cuts, I would have been on that a lot harder if I wasn’t battling spider mites. I would be devastated if I gave you something that was infected.
You are too kind, my friend. Don’t stop being you.

And you are a Taurus too, even scarier.

If it helps via commiseration I am in a battle with Thrips but spidermites are a different level of hell.

The SCBB got hit hard in the last few weeks all of a sudden. Issue is the brightness of the lights and the amount of pollen over everything hid the fuckers from view. I’ve been dealing with fungas gnats in there which distracted me from the invaders starting in the canopy

Upon inspection the other day I noted a sheen on the leaves and then turned down the light so I could see without the safety glasses and immediatly freaked out.

If this wasn’t a seed run I’d be totally fucked but as it is a seed run I’m just spraying them down with one and done every other day to address.

I’m also doing this with with the seed run 2x4 tent and the mothers tent. They are trying to migrate in there but haven’t gotten to far as I have a habit of opening 1 tent at a time to make sure that any problems hopefully stick to the area it’s happening.

But lets say it’s bad enough that I go downstairs in a pair of long johns and come back upstairs naked.

Do you have one’'n’done to go to town on the mites? or Safers End All which was my go too before getting the fixings for one and done.

I did pick up some safers right away and emptied that bottle in the two rooms. The amazing @MissinBissin dropped off some one and done. They sure are doing a lot of damage to the plants all my clones are almost dead not looking healthy at all. It’s been a constant battle for the last 2 months. So anxious to get them outside and get some natural Predators on them.
For the fungus gnats I read on here that just putting a bit of sand on the top of the containers, eliminates them.

Oh bud that’s only the 1/2 of it.

Here are my elements:

:sun_with_face: = :taurus:
:full_moon: = :capricorn:
Rising/Ascendant = :taurus:

Also in the planets:

So… I guess my septum piercing is as appropriate as my real name when translated: “Farmer of the Glen owned by the family Rein”

The fact that I have a hill in my yard and under this hill is an underground river makes things very amazing but also freaky with alignments.

Dude. If those Spider Mites are kicking your arse, i may be able to help you.
I had them so bad i could not control them. Sprays didnt seem to bother them. I was still getting mites. Badly.
I bought two of these.

Turn off all the fans in the tent. Including your exhaust fan. You want the vapors to stay in the tent. Hang these in the tent. Zip it up and leave it.
This is a bad chemical vapor, so i would only do this if its in a tent and in a room that you wont be going in too much. And you may have to do it twice i would do it once and wait three days and hit it again. That would give any eggs a chance to hatch but not breed yet. I would bet good money, you will be done with those bastages.
I keep a couple of these in a plastic ziplock. If i detect any bugs, not just mites, i put them in the tent for a good 24 hours, and viola! No more bugs. Then take it out put back in the bag for next time.

When I look on Amazon it says hot shot no pest strips for Canada and then it shows absolutely nothing.

Wonder if they would make it through customs?

I did some research. The brand you get in :us: is not permitted in :canada: because of the big wigs. Unless the company adheres to canada’s packaging requirements it cannot be imported.

We do have these on our side though:

But finding stock has proven a rabbit hole of dead ends!

It seems hard to get decent pest control materials in Canada and a lot of guys make thier own remedies like I’ve seen here in threads on OG.
I was able to get my hands on some Pylon concentrate a few years back and whenever mites show up, all my mothers get sprayed down. One treatment and the mites are gone. For thrips… absolutely nothing beats spinosad and I was able to get some Monterey’s Garden Spray with Spinosad off amazon a couple or so years ago. Diatomaceous earth tilled into the soil and spread lightly around the base of the container is adviseable. Some people mix diatomaceous earth and sulphur powder in a spray bottle to treat early signs of mites and thrips as well. As a bonus, the sulphur in the spray will also kill powdery mildew dead. This is a good spray down at the begining of flower before the pistils start to pop.
In flower , at the first sign of mites or thrips I break out a much safer remedy that is pretty effective and is all I will use during the 12/12 cycle indoors or out. That consists of alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and tap water with a drop of sufficant like yucca extract or dr bonner soap or similar wetting agent.
