Female GSC made its own seeds?

a friend of mine was telling me about his GSC plant that was making little buttercup like flowers, he sent me this image. I told him it unfortunately looked to be making seeds, and would ask if the seeds would be viable also if the plant should be destroyed or what steps to take next? Any info would be appreciated by both he and I. Thank you in advance.

That’s a male…

Edit: on closer look it seems to be the worst case of hermaphrodite that I’ve seen. Couple of hairs at the top, but the rest are male bits

was that ever sexed as a female?
the actual girl scout cookies cut comes from a herm pollination, so it’s not surprising that seeds made with this line might be unstable.

I’m going by what I was told, he said it was a feminized GSC. That is what I have been going by. That is why I am trying to find help. I don’t know?

It may have come from a feminized GSC seed, but its turned hermi. Chop it and get rid of it for sure. Nothing good will come of that plant

Edit: If he has other plants, I would recommend against using any seeds they produce as well. Its likely to have come from pollen from this unstable plant, meaning offspring would be possibly unstable as well.

I will tell him to destroy the plant immediately. Thank y’all for the information. Much appreciated!

Male Plant, and pollen is already falling, too late for not getting any females prego, Hope he had it in Isolation

You need both male and female plants in the same space for reproductive/breeding purposes.
What he can do is collect some pollen in case he wants to make a cross with a female to make seeds.

If it is truly intersex and not just staminate or staminate with hermaphrodite pistils, seeds will be plentiful and perhaps prone to the same. There will be risk to other plants in the area.

If grown out, there will not be much smokable plant. The seeds will be female, viable and usable for personal growing (until the grower gets better genetics.) They are not of value for breeding or trading.

Bruce Jenner Cookies? :rofl::rofl:

Seriously though, this seems to lend credibility to the theory of fem seeds bringing herm genes to the surface. Lots of old farts like me have always been a bit skeptical about them. Sounds like the genes were already present in the gsc as well though. Interesting stuff!

Well if that was a female gsc it definitely turned hermie. The seeds from this would be unstable and would produce hermie offspring the majority of the time. I’d tell your buddy to start over and to make sure he isnt stressing the plant especially during the seedling stage. Other than that he needs to make sure his environment is in check

It is gone, I appreciate all of the replies and helpful information from everyone that has come in so far and is still arriving. He is all but determined that he is cursed and should not attempt to crack seeds any longer. He wants me to start them and then give him clones when they mature enough.
