First grow fem ww

Not really. I thought I had time to learn which to do. They are sticky little things.
How long can I leave tent empty before putting in Herks?
Cut and dry than?

Not sure I understand this question.

There will be pollen in it even after cleaning won’t there?

Just wipe everything down with water the best you can. Water and time kill pollen. By the time the Hurkle are flowering the pollen most likely will no longer be viable. Pollen is potent stuff, but has a short life. It only takes one flower and some wind to pollinate your whole tent.

With the help of @Muleskinner, @ReikoX and @99PerCent This grow is history.
This was found in the flower tent:

I put in for help from some great guys and he/she had made friends with the other Widows and they said put 'em down.
With photos @99PerCent helped me cut 'em up and boy did they have a lot of fun, seed city.

Sorry these seeded themselves so badly. The seeds won’t be good for much except maybe feeding to the parrots, lol.

The first 2 I cut that night feel dry. Should they go into a jar?

With the dry air you have experienced, I would not jar until 4-5 days after cut. The edges will feel crispy, but water will be trapped inside the cells. When the sticks snap, they are ready for jars.

I jarred the two small plans today. They were crispy, the sticks snap and some buds I didn’t even need scissors. The other two are still drying.

I found the thread on what to do with it. Only hours later, no condensation at all. Still crispy

Perfect.

So every day for the next week be sure to open each jar and allow all of the air to exchange. Take note of the smells. Once the chlorophyll clears, you can keep the lids on and store in a cool dry place, or refrig or freeze. Just be sure to bring to room temp before you open after frig or freeze.

Is it suppose to stink more or less?

As the chlorophyll diminishes, the smell of the terpenes will take over and then you will have your product. Jar it or start cooking. If you were a smoker, the plan would be to store and cure. Where as you are cooking, you know what to do.

The butter recipe says you can use stems and leave. Doesn’t that lower potency?

Anywhere you see the trichomes, there is valuable material present.

This is what I ended up with. I never had condensation but have opened and aired every day. Lots of lose, broken bud in the bottom of jar.

I am very happy for you. The first harvest is always one to remember.

Looking forward as you becoming an experienced grower and a regular contributor here.

Yours has been a little “trial by fire”, though hasn’t it? :fire:

So much for getting bags of super soil, dropping seeds watering and harvesting. :confounded:

You sure it will stop stinking :worried:

It seems that every grower goes through these sorts of times.

It hardens one for the next grow. Try to repeat what you have done this time, only use the tips you have learned, especially those of @ReikoX, he is very good at this.

No one can promise that it will be easy.

Must say, you seem to have more critter than I have. I guess I live in a truly suburbanized neighborhood now.

Well this ended up being a total lose. I ruined all the bud trying to decarb. I put it in a oven bag (was following an instructional) Put in 200 degree oven and in 10 min the top was brown. Took it out of the bag and put on parchment paper and lowered to 150/175 and 10 minutes later the house was full of smoke and the bud was even burning in places. Boy did I sleep well last night but the house sure stinks and I have a jar full of black ash.

Argh! That is not how we cook with cannabis, lol.

I am sorry for your loss.

You clearly needed the sleep.
