Blumat digital moisture meter
Blumat water system. Single “carrot” in the center with the drip tape system. Homemade 15 gallon reservoir. Water is just tap water ran thru a cheap inline filter to remove chlorine.
The soil is Fox Farms Ocean Forest. Amended with BuildASoil.coms 3.0 nutrient kit at half strength, along with added pumice stone and worm castings and worms.
30Jan25 12:00pm started soaking 4 seeds.
31Jan25 3:30am seeds popped. Placed in dirt in solo cups.
2Feb25 10:00am the seeds popped out of dirt in solo cups
14Feb25 I transplanted from the solo cups into the bed. Along with some mycorrhiza
On 26Feb25 I topped the two plants on the right and the front one on the left. Didn’t top the back left because it was just slower growing and didn’t look right for it.
Had some issues with growth but corrected itself. Lots of watering issues trying to dial in the Blumat.
I wanted to redirect the inlet air from hitting the side of my bed, to blowing across the soil surface. Used foam board and made this box to go from 6” duct, to 4 smaller circles to disburse the air.
You can kind of see it there.
They got so bushy I needed both circulating fans on top to move the air. Since I had an extra online fan laying around I cut and taped a trash bag to make a tube. Cut holes to direct airflow up. Works pretty good.
How do you enjoy the earth box that you are currently using is there anything you dont like about the box? I was thinking about getting 2 for my 4x6 grow tent but than I was thinking about just building a 4x4 Ebb and flow flood table in the 4x6 tent so we shall see how everything goes
