Pictures are day 35 from sprouting, and second week of flowering. 3 gallon fabric pots with Happy Frog (supplemented with extra perlite). Used no nutrients through the first 4 weeks. About 7 days ago I used the Fox Farms blooming nutrients at about 30% suggested strength. About 5 days ago I used some banana tea with molasses. There was already some discoloration on some leaves before I used the nutrients.
Looks like a nitrogen deficiency, but it could be several things. Do you know the pH of your runoff? Do you happen to know the pH of your water before adding any nutes?
Here are a couple of charts that you might find helpful…
I think Gpaw may be on to something… Could just be that you loaded them up too early with the extra Phosphorus/Potassium. Try hitting them with a few feedings of a soluble nitrogen like soy aminos. I’ve had better results when I wait until the buds are forming before upping that other stuff.
I don’t think it caused the issue…that flowering started in 35 days, but it just makes me wonder if 35 days is a clue to something else or the shortened veg phase is indirectly causing a sensitivity to the nutrient imbalance. I’d try a 60 day veg phase.
I read that with Happy Frog soil, that you do not need to use nutrients until week 4. When I hit week 4, I used both FF blooming nutrients at about 30% strength. A couple of days later I used some banana tea with added molasses. I never did use the FF vegetative nutrient.
So…….last night I mixed up a weak mix of the vegetative nutrient and fed them. Will use plain water for a couple of days, and then another weak dose of the vegetative nutrient.
