First Time (growing legal that is)!

On with the show! These girls just keep on gettin’ chunkier & chunkier! @Greenfingers

Hazes; Here ar a couple of the tip growths on the newly flowering Original Hazes. @Budderton

@BigMike55 Here’s some shots of those Bloody Monster cages from yesterday but in the morning light, where you can actually see the cages! Most are 2 m. high cages raised a meter off the ground on rebar, so the tops are at about 3 meters.

And a shot of the tips of the Franken Bubbles

Thai x VN Blacks lookin’ good! Tips shot;

Sky’s the limit!

First ‘meal’!!! I have fasted for a week now, drinking only water and green juices freshly made. I had no appetite when I started, but I’ve been looking forward to this for a few days now! Hope you all have a great day!

Another day in Paradise!

Well, bummer, the third Grape Dragon, the only seeded one, today had one tiny tip going off at 4 pm.

I snipped it off and tossed it in the ziploc with the de-fol trash…and then thought…“Wait, isn’t this the plant I pollinated?” Started to check it out, even though it’s only been 25 days since I pollinated them.

Well, turns out that little tiny bud that had got hit by budrot had 24 mature seeds!
Cool, that means there should be a few hundred at least, if I can keep the plant alive long enough!

Unknown soldierette!

A couple Shots of Lemon Skunk hiding away in a back row. Starting to come on strong now!

Somebody asked about the Original Hazes in another thread @Budderton and I’m gonna post picks there, but will toss a few here too. These are just over 2 weeks into flower now. Still no real smells going yet, but I keep checking daily. Gonna be fun to compare as there are a bunch of both Franken Bubbles and Bloody Monsters at the exact same age and stage as the Hazes (right now). And as usual, there’s one or two plants of each that look like they are 2 weeks ahead of the others!

I never get tired of the Black Skunks!

@Budderton I shot a couple more pics of the ‘odd’ pheno of the Cobra Lips today. I kind of like it in an odd way. Guess us ‘freaks’ stick together!

That’s it for now guys! Have a great day!

Freaks of a feather, stick to leather! ( I’m high)
Judging by the leaf curl, that CL has the look of the type that likes to pile trichs along the leaf edge and get caked right out. I hope it gets to do its thing TL.

Yo guys, Starting yet another week over here! I’m getting scared…while there are tons of plants yet to start fully flowering, I’m already getting those pangs of worry of “What if I don’t have enough plants???” Caught myself today thinking,'Well, I ‘could’ put one lighted rack in the old greenhouse we’re not using and start beans and clones!

I laughed and said Art probably has a better market than pot right now over here! So here’s my entry! Flashback to the 1960’s-'70’s;

I had to run to the farthest point on the island today, so stopped somewhere I’d never been for lunch. Cool small beach-side Thai cafe and resort looking across the gulf to SW coast of Koh Pha Ngan. Nice to see a different seascape and colors!

Then, I finally sorted all my “Shredded Memory” problems from the RSO!

Starting off w/ the 3 Thai x VN Blacks (3 on left of path from watering can up, pink-tagged plant is seeded)…everybody looks happy. One appears ‘yellower’ than the other, and one much darker than the others, and one seeded up! @slain Thank you brother  for these beans! I think they are loving coming back home after all these years! Can’t wait to see what they bring us!

Across the aisle we have the Franken Bubbles from @JohnnyPotseed 2 of the 5 or 6 are looking like they are a week ahead of the others, filling in the stems with solid flow of budlets! These probably aren’t as big as Johnny is used to growing 'em, but we should get a nice stash from them. These stay shaded a couple hours longer in the morning than the Thai x VN B & BM’s across the aisle.

Tucked in behind the T x VNB are the Bloody Monsters from @BigMike55 & @Maddawg These gals are confined to tomato cages (on stilts!). I’m not sure how they are gonna handle the bulk-up that BM’s do, it’s gonna get crowded in some of those cages!

Nice tip-top view of that part of the garden in the twilight!

I’ve hit this Goji OG @CADMAN @misterbee with pollen 5 times now across 2 weeks…and I can still barely see a swollen calyx anywhere! I know I hit it very well yesterday with perfectly dried, very fresh pollen. Fingers crossed! I REALLY wanted to make Goji OG seed this run and thought I had good pollen from 3 males? Guess we’ll see! I have also hit 2 branches of one Thai x VN Black w/Goji OG pollen…but likewise - haven’t seen much confirmation there yet either. The Goji’s blew me away this time by throwing out quite tall plants in quite a short amount of time. In the past mine were always just short, multi-branched nugget stands, this time they’re 2 meters tall!

Lemon Skunk @misterbee I only grew out a couple of these this time around. I think I crossed this with the Black Skunk last go around when I’d used up all the Lemon Skunk pollen. and had a good Black male. So this ‘might’ be the last of the pure Lemon Skunks in my line! Nice plant to go out on! About 2-3 weeks into flower. Thanks MisterBee!

Original Haze. @Budderton (Buddy - please add a tag to the seed donor - I’m braindead!) These girls are also 2-3 weeks into flowering now. 2 of the 4 are farther along than the others. The farthest along are starting to fill in the spaces between budlets now and getting a first hint of frost. I’m enjoying the filmy transparency of the Sativas in that area. Wish I had OH pollen on-hand!

Best new “Tool of the Month!” - Wet or dry! About $80. A bit ‘Top’-Heavy when walking around, but it works well enough once you get used to it (Watch those first few steps though!). Manages to throw far enough to reach most of the tops of the palm trees and has controls to allow pretty gentle misting if need be (but better from a distance!). Switching between wet/dry applications looks like a real pain in the ass, so I’ll stick to my wet applications until I need diatomaceous earth or something. Even with the old electric-powered backpack sprayer it would take 15-20 man-hours to spray the whole nursery - this takes 5! And does it with better coverage!

@Tlander those original haze plants look like they fit right in. Like they could be native to that region!
Very nice! Your garden is amazing! :+1::green_heart:

Thanks @firehead They’re growing like it too! Can’t believe I haven’t tried running these here before! Ran Karel Haze last year, but ran into mold issues in monsoon season. Between these hazes, slain’s Thai x VN Blacks and some Thai Testers I ran, I think I can see (a lot) more Sativas in my future! :joy:

Those Haze have really been awesome to watch. I should have kept those seeds Lol! Just kidding, I have more. We all get to see what the potential of those plants are since they are growing where they’re supposed to be. Great work!

Right on @WVMountainGhost ! Sorry of losing track of who sent me those O Haze. There you go TL! Yeah, it’s so cool to see them growing out under the tropical sun, instead of in a tent or basement!! Thank you for getting those out to fellow growers WVMG!

@WVMountainGhost @Budderton BIG thanks to you both! Yep, they look 100% happy to return home! Funny, but Ive been beating my head against the wall trying to grow out OG polyhybrids in high humidity conditions and battling budrot at every turn. Meanwhile, these O.Hazes just tool along without a care in the World! Same w/VN Blacks.

The ‘urge to splurge’ is striking! Pulled out my most frequently updated seed-list to see what little treasures are awaiting hatching…going with my recent revelations of the ease of Sat growing here, I’ve cut the list down to ONLY 20 strains! 555! Of course I’m bound to find at least 5 more when I’m actually “in” the seed-stash!

I told myself I wouldn’t do this again after last year’s record-breaking compost pile additions! But right now my plants are probably the only thing keeping me somewhat sane! If I didn’t have them to obsess over, I’d have succumbed to the cancer drama months ago. It’s a double-edged sword - I’m so damned stoned from the RSO that I can’t really judge what effects are from the cancer and what’s from the RSO. I’m really hoping that the brain-fog is gonna lift when I back off on dosage. I’ve cut back to 75% dosage for the last week and it seems a little better. I’m not gonna go overboard over-reacting, but I am seeing some encouraging signs!

Have a great day guys!

Man, somebody must have snuck in here this week and told the plants that it’s time to kick the flowering up a notch! I’m blown away by the daily changes!

Here’s a little lineup of a few of @JohnnyPotseed 's Franken Bubbles

My favorite of the Thai x VN Blacks @slain

@BigMike55 One of the ‘Bloody Monsters in a Cage’

A random sprout - unknown, but looking good!

Some odd-plant out Cobra Lips; @Budderton

LSD x Blue Sunshine

Alright! I see that the pollination with the last batch of Goji OG pollen seems to have taken! 5 tries over 2 weeks and finally on my last male branch we got a hit! I also see that the Thai x VN Black that I hit 2 branches of w/Goji OG also showing swelling calyx!

I have to check w @DougDawson to find out what type of “Blue” pollen he sent me months ago! I stashed it in the refrigerator the day it arrived and today decided that while I’m really bummed I don’t have any Haze pollen to use on the current batch of beauties, I DO have DD’s little gift and seeing as we don’t know how long I have left to use it up - Today was the day to start! Hit up 2 lower branches on each of the 2 most vigorous Original Haze females! Fingers crossed!

Well, we’re getting a sunset downpour tonight! But at least the wind’s not too bad. Collected the last pollen off the last Goji OG atop the mountain today, chopped and gone! The last batch, the 5th out of 6, finally did the trick it appears. By today I was pretty sure I can see seeds forming on both the Goji OG’s and the Thai x VN Black cross I tried.

Speaking of seeds…the last remaining Grape Dragon has been losing 1-2 buds a day to budrot even with the hurricane fan right on it. So far I have managed to pull somewhere between 100-150 mature beans and there’s still 4 or 5 small branches left to go.

Meanwhile, “Fuck the cancer and the Doctors with their 6 months bs 5 months ago”! If I listened to them I won’t be around to harvest this crop…let alone the next one! So, in the interest of flipping them both off, I’ve picked out the next sets of beans to swim!

Did some major tree trimming work and really opened up the view.

Hibiscus flower

Unknown soldier… These are all late poppers that germinated after I dumped all the old plug trays into a single flat and covered it with a humidity dome. I know they’re all fire, just don’t know ‘which’ fire! :confounded:

LSD x Blue Sunshine @Greenfingers Still just amazing plants! And holding up well against mold so far…amazing for the density of these buds! I pulled one single, very black, mature seed off of the bud in the middle in the 2nd pic below. That whole cola ‘should’ be seeded out but it’s so dense I could only see the one bottom seed.

@misterbee 's Black Skunks Once again, these have become my “go to” buds when I walk to the tent to grab something to roll! And so damn photogenic!

Hope you’re all having a fantastic day out there!

If it was months ago I would say it’s BOG Blue Kush pollen. The BMR pollen was more recent.

I thank all of you for being so OG! This forum is one shining bright spot of humanity in a World full of human fuck ups right now. We often joke about how all our ‘friends’ are via here on OG, but to be honest, a very large proportion of my most appreciated people ARE from right here! I feel so grateful to have ever bumbled my way into here and met you all! OGTW!
