Yo guys, Starting yet another week over here! I’m getting scared…while there are tons of plants yet to start fully flowering, I’m already getting those pangs of worry of “What if I don’t have enough plants???” Caught myself today thinking,'Well, I ‘could’ put one lighted rack in the old greenhouse we’re not using and start beans and clones!
I laughed and said Art probably has a better market than pot right now over here! So here’s my entry! Flashback to the 1960’s-'70’s;
I had to run to the farthest point on the island today, so stopped somewhere I’d never been for lunch. Cool small beach-side Thai cafe and resort looking across the gulf to SW coast of Koh Pha Ngan. Nice to see a different seascape and colors!
Then, I finally sorted all my “Shredded Memory” problems from the RSO!
Starting off w/ the 3 Thai x VN Blacks (3 on left of path from watering can up, pink-tagged plant is seeded)…everybody looks happy. One appears ‘yellower’ than the other, and one much darker than the others, and one seeded up! @slain Thank you brother for these beans! I think they are loving coming back home after all these years! Can’t wait to see what they bring us!
Across the aisle we have the Franken Bubbles from @JohnnyPotseed 2 of the 5 or 6 are looking like they are a week ahead of the others, filling in the stems with solid flow of budlets! These probably aren’t as big as Johnny is used to growing 'em, but we should get a nice stash from them. These stay shaded a couple hours longer in the morning than the Thai x VN B & BM’s across the aisle.
Tucked in behind the T x VNB are the Bloody Monsters from @BigMike55 & @Maddawg These gals are confined to tomato cages (on stilts!). I’m not sure how they are gonna handle the bulk-up that BM’s do, it’s gonna get crowded in some of those cages!
Nice tip-top view of that part of the garden in the twilight!
I’ve hit this Goji OG @CADMAN @misterbee with pollen 5 times now across 2 weeks…and I can still barely see a swollen calyx anywhere! I know I hit it very well yesterday with perfectly dried, very fresh pollen. Fingers crossed! I REALLY wanted to make Goji OG seed this run and thought I had good pollen from 3 males? Guess we’ll see! I have also hit 2 branches of one Thai x VN Black w/Goji OG pollen…but likewise - haven’t seen much confirmation there yet either. The Goji’s blew me away this time by throwing out quite tall plants in quite a short amount of time. In the past mine were always just short, multi-branched nugget stands, this time they’re 2 meters tall!
Lemon Skunk @misterbee I only grew out a couple of these this time around. I think I crossed this with the Black Skunk last go around when I’d used up all the Lemon Skunk pollen. and had a good Black male. So this ‘might’ be the last of the pure Lemon Skunks in my line! Nice plant to go out on! About 2-3 weeks into flower. Thanks MisterBee!
Original Haze. @Budderton (Buddy - please add a tag to the seed donor - I’m braindead! ) These girls are also 2-3 weeks into flowering now. 2 of the 4 are farther along than the others. The farthest along are starting to fill in the spaces between budlets now and getting a first hint of frost. I’m enjoying the filmy transparency of the Sativas in that area. Wish I had OH pollen on-hand!
Best new “Tool of the Month!” - Wet or dry! About $80. A bit ‘Top’-Heavy when walking around, but it works well enough once you get used to it (Watch those first few steps though!). Manages to throw far enough to reach most of the tops of the palm trees and has controls to allow pretty gentle misting if need be (but better from a distance!). Switching between wet/dry applications looks like a real pain in the ass, so I’ll stick to my wet applications until I need diatomaceous earth or something. Even with the old electric-powered backpack sprayer it would take 15-20 man-hours to spray the whole nursery - this takes 5! And does it with better coverage!
