Amazing flower pics!
Ganja pics too.
CH X BK looking nice, all very similar.
Are they launching hash/opium over a border? That’s clever
555! Yup! We came up with a thing in college we called “The Funnelator” that was pretty similar, but we’d only send water balloons about city block!
Hahahahah this great!!
Surprised they don’t do it from Mexico to the US!!
Cheers bro!!
Not a lot of ganja news today. Chopped another 5-6 plants, moved lots and lots of big soil bags to a spot under a greenhouse roof not too far from where I’ll need it in a week or two. Spent a little time moving some plants around.
The new Chocolate Sapote grove…with a few lemons left…
I tried transplanting this one about 3 weeks before the others. Plus it’s been in the full sun (on drip) the whole time. Whereas the above plants have been shaded by the trees until today. Nice new growth, hoping the others are about to follow along.
And the Black Rosewood seedlings are coming along nicely!
Not much else to report…tent’s stuffed, E&F tables are looking good, upper greenhouse is 85% empty now. The weather held off with no rain today (so far) but the mossie’s are just nuts right now! We’ve got smudge pots of smouldering straw and coco cubes burning upwind of wherever we want to work just to give us a fighting chance! Okay, hope you all have a great day!
More to come later (hopefully!), but I don’t want to space out on getting these pics to @Budderton ! Thanks bro! Just twisted one up and am headed down to the barn to sort used pots for a while…there are literally a few hundred of various sizes all piled uP and I gotta sort it out! I’ll try to let you know how the doobie goes!
Nice looking jars TL! I hope it smokes good for you!
Enjoy that Noodle @Tlander.
They know where to find You, when your Testing Doobies lol… sorting Pots lol
Your either going to bring Two separate styles back and Shrug… 🤷 or Organize the whole Lot of them…
Well, I underestimated the numbers of pots in that pile…by a few thousand! Enjoyed the doobie, but got so into the job I didn’t really pay attention! But 4 hours just flew by! And I have seen floor in the barn I haven’t seen in 20+ years! Guess I’ll be trying it again…soon!
Starting off with some early ‘keeper’ males I’ve moved up the driveway. One earlier God’s Timewarp is ready to try to pollinate the World tomorrow… I’m gonna have to get down there early. None of the females are ready so I’ll probably try to collect as much as I can and chop him. Humidity levels really screw with pollen here, so I’m not counting on this staying viable. Right now we’re 5 outta 50 on males (it’s early!). Spotted 3 females showing first pistils today.
The E&F table plants are looking good. Gotta find time to put up more sticky traps…saw a few whitefly darting about.
Managed to get a few wheelbarrow loads of top-dressing on half the Lemon Trees and half the Chocolate Sapotes and anything else within my reach. Still pretty overcast weather but no rain yet today. Completely forgot to sniff the Swazi Ruz while I was up there! Got the de-Hu and the AC cranked in the tent and they’re having a hard time keeping uP! I think my foreman chopped another 6 plants this evening but I’ve yet to check the drying tent…afraid I won’t be able to re-shut the door if I open it!
That’s about it from over here!
We haven’t stopped by the Peshawar’s @Upstate in a while… Pretty clear that these are meant to be planted thickly in fields supporting each other. Even with plenty of lateral space to fill, their genetics choose “uP Only”! I can’t even see the tops to check for hermie balls! Plant on the right is seeded lightly and is the one that ‘split’ it’s trunk a couple weeks back. Cage tops are at about 2 - 2.5 m.!
Red Thai @Roms (I believe? or @MissinBissin ?) Sorry, shitty pics of these and Pesh’s…just no good angles! If you right click and ‘open in a new tab’ you can then zoom in and see them better.
Elsewhere…
These are the last 5 Lemon airlayers made with the plastic clamshell rooters.
Air-layered this Loquat tree branch and it started flowering right after rooting!
Finished up top-dressing all the Chocolate Sapotes today and started staking the tallest ones.
A buddy sent me a box of cuttings of this succulent leafed plant that goes by different names around the globe…either Spanish Thyme, Mexican Oregano or something else. I’ve been propagating it from cuttings every 3 days or so, slowly plugging them into all the palm pots’ soil. Hopefully they’ll drape down over the bags and make a living mulch layer on the tops. That’s the plan anyway! Really fragrant plants, smelling exacly like oregano. Several chefs have told me it’s very commonly used in place of true oregano in cooking. It’s so pungent I’m hoping it’ll help deter pests too?
Not a whole lot else got done…well except for testing another (A new Hope x Cobra Lips) doobie! Managed to transplant more Solo’s of Baja Blast and Soulmates…oh, and I found a female God’s Timewarp with a dozen pistils formed so stuck her under the males and gave 'em a good shake! Pretty early on for the females but I awoke to find it poured again overnight so my planned pollen collection at dawn was a ‘washout’! (By the way, I might be able to find a picture of the card, but if anybody remembers sending me those God’s Timewarp please let me know! And thanks! ).
Okay, time for a Sunday afternoon kickback! Hope you’re all having a fantastic day!
God’s Timewarp from me
I got them from JOTI 5 years ago, nice that they still pop.
Greetings from Ontario and the Red Thai, are Not from myself @Tlander
Bigger Pots will allow you to climb those cages T. You know, for gonad checks
Do Not try it today
555! Thanks bro, I should have known! I used to keep close track of the in’s & outs of my seeds but since the RSO that’s mostly over! I try to write it on the tags, but these slipped by me. I ‘think’ I put in 6 of them…have 2 males, 2 females, 1 undeclared and lost 1 as a seedling. Really hoping I get 3 females. One will be seeded, but it’s really early so likely just a few beans in the end. Thanks again bro!
Yo Bro!!
Looks like all is well on your end!
Always happy to see you with a bunch of starts!!!
Those lemons look great! And those Peshwars!!
I have used the Mexican oregano extensively cooking Mexican food, in fact I just brought some back from Florida with me. That stuff is hard to come by here.
Id love to get a few snips from you, I am planning to send ya down some stuff this week too.
Its so nice to open OG and see your grows again! Thank you fibre optic!! hahah
Hope the weather dries up for ya a bit soon even though you have some months to go.
We had a sunny day here for a change today but this evening it poured and is still coming down.
Helps with the temps though for sure…
keep on keeping on!
Cheers bro!
Well Nick, the buddy I helped set up the rooftop gardens for 2 years ago, got in a good 2 years! About 1-2 months after I got my Cancer diagnosis he called to tell me he got the same story from the doc’s as me…6 months to countdown. I tried to offer everything I’d found out information-wise, but let him make his own decisions. He choose quite a different route, going first with Chemo and then when that didn’t do anything except destroy his body, he went on the latest greatest immunotherapy drugs. Just got word that he passed away 2 hours ago. Sad, but at the same time very happy to have been able to help him spend the last 2 years doing what he loved!
Ever Higher bro! Happy Travels
2 years ago;
Last month;
@Tlander . I am very sorry for your loss.
I wanna echo that my friend. You have my condolences.
Thanks bros, but as I said, I know when he wasn’t suffering, he spent the last two years of his life doing exactly what he loved to do. He knew it was coming and a few weeks ago finally tied the legal knot with his Thai wife of decades, just to make sure there’d be no hassles with his Will. I met him 30 years ago when he was selling Thai/Lao weed to friends. He’d never had any luck growing his own, but he was anxious to try again! That inspired me to write down an ingredient list for everything in my living soil mix for him and for a couple months I just doubled up my materials orders. We put together that rooftop garden and a drip irrigation system on a timer, I gave him a wide assortment of beans to try, answered any questions and away he went! As you can see from last month, he was successful! Well, there’s no plant limits where he’ll be growing now!
Thank you for making your friends dreams come true before he fell from obit @Tlander . You are a damn good man! And a true servant of the plant! May the fates bless you.
