First Timer Autoflower.. maybe..?

Found a bean in a bag of Wazabi Kush from a local shop. Which inspired me to finally purchase a few Bridgelux EB strips. I’ve had great success with a 100W version, I’ll be putting together a 150W and 240W version in the coming weeks.

For now, the old Vero’s are still burning under those massive heatsinks:

She is starting to smell very nice!

I decided I needed the ventilation to be filtered on the inlet as well as the outlet. Back in December the easiest option was to use a box with a HVAC return filter, I believe it was 20” x 20” (what ever the caveman conversion is to the Civilized metric).

Upon immediately realizing the light leaked all over the place my mind immediately went to work sorting out a solution.

Here it is, another box with a filter inside.

Cheers!

The 150W luminaire is hanging in the new tent, it is a very tight fit!

Another intake is in progress, this should be up and running by the end of the week.

Cheers!

She has been transplanted into a 3 gallon fabric pot.

Today I learned, do not transplant fabric pots. The roots do not appreciate being torn from the ball.

I really hope she isn’t stressed too much.

Cheers!

I hope it is a quick recovery and that things go smoothly from here! I’m a pretty new grower and definitely learning some lessons the hard way as I go.

First time with fabric pots, by the time I realized she had dug-in on the bottom it was too late to turn back. I’m hoping the potassium and phosphorus will help regenerate the roots.

Blueberry on the left and Haze on the right, both of them just look haggard. Germination did not go well, I couldn’t get either of the Super Skunk to crack either.

Old seeds?

Whats the light schedule and how old is she? Looks kinda like she revegged.

She’ll probably be fine. Growth will maybe slowdown for a week while she gets over the shock. But you’ll be surprised how much abuse some plants can take, and are still fine. She was already looking very healthy. It’ll be ok :+1:

16/8, I’m assuming it is an auto flower since it came from hemp buds.

If not, I’m going to clone it.

It looks like an auto to me, I had it in 12/12 for two weeks and no sexing. Then I put it back to 18/6 and in a few days it began to bloom.

I gave her bloom nutrients with some cal/mag last night after the transplant, I even gave the babies a little food as well.

The humidity has increased quite a bit, the conditions are so good in there I haven’t watered my dog’s aloe in over two months.

Are the flowers developing daily?

Edit: the light change maybe the reason for the weirdness seen

Looks like your transplant is about to take off! All the best with you grow~

The buds have been growing almost daily. I noticed a slowing of growth and a droop of the leaves that wasn’t water, I assumed a transplant was needed for root binding. One other thing I did was top the plant above the 6th or 7th node, that would likely shock the plant. She is growing a smaller third cola now.

I figure less than two months if I’m lucky, or about 2 months because of the shock. Either way, I’m ready to dry and cure this bud and get the Blueberry and Haze rolling behind it.

I’m not sure if I’m going to crack the Bluedream or the Orange Bud yet…

This is what I call “no string training”, basically low stress training without strings. It works.

The luminaire has been raised, the overall ppfd has been lowered. I’m assuming the stress in the plant is from too much PAR (thanks, Vero’s).

New bud sites every day, more hairs, a very nice smell.

The Blueberry and Haze are coming along nicely since the phosphorus was added, the roots should be digging in deep right now. Next week both of them will find homes in 3 gallon fabric pots.

Even the desert aloe received some love, new sand and some rocks from Arizona!

Cheers!

She is doing much better this morning, lots of new growth with a little stretch up top. The light is basically maxed out right now, I’ll need to rearrange the tents so the flowering cycle has maximum height.

The Blueberry and Haze have rooted well and are starting to go up. I’m hoping to get these into 3 gallon fabric pots in the next month and build an auto-cloner.

Cheers!

The new phones have horrible lenses for close-up shots, so I decided I needed an old phone with a better lens and added the app since the phone has no service. Now it will be simple to dial-in the environmental controls for day/night cycles. This will also help keep track of the veg/flower cycles as well as drying.

Cheers!

Great news!

Great news!

She’s a photo!

Clone taken!

240W driver reduced to the 150W, plug-and-play.

Everything except the extractor was moved to the new tent to achieve maximum height due to the stretch coming.

If she gets too tall I will setup the 2x4 and go for 7’!

Everything is automated at this point, temperature is set to 84°, VPD 1.2 kPa with lights-on, 70° and 1.0 kPa lights-out.

Cheers!

The Kush is coming along, she’s really stretching towards the Vero’s. Lots of hairs and new growth all over. A slight defoliation every day unless it is not needed. Training has basically stopped, the branches are about where they need to be. She looks to be a bit over-watered, the environment is a bit more stable now than it was before and the 3 gallon fabric pots are holding a bit more moisture than the 1 gallon.

The Blueberry and Haze have been moved up to get a better seat at the table. Both look a bit light-starved. The clone looks to be doing well, there are also clones of parsley and dill that seem to be rooting.

I’ve never seen the desert aloe look this good. With the temperature in the mid to low 80’s and a relative humidity of 60-70% I haven’t had to water it at all. The aloe seems to actually be doing better under the shade of the Kush.

Cheers!
